He is a very good player, but he is no leader of men.

It's also a tribute to how good we and our leaders have been in the past really.

He just doesn't have an outstanding physical attribute to beat a tag. Not superior strength, size or height, a burst of pace or a motor. It's not his fault, but I can't see him beating a hard tag on a fit player.

He's a fantastic player, it's a shame there is no one else to take the tag anymore.

Hats off to Murphy if true, but what it really shows is our deplorable lack of depth on our list.

The Carlton Board/Administration has a lot to answer for our past 10 years of List Management and Player development.

He got amongst it in the packs too and won us plenty of possession without gaining one himself. Put himself in the hole too.
He was injured and took one for the team by playing. Then took more for the team by getting in the hole and getting pumbled.
The poor kick for goal was the longest kick he had all night.

Being forced to play players who aren't 100% shows just how poor our depth is, and how little faith Malthouse has in the players in the 2nds.
