If GWS's trade period was as big as schemozzle as Brizzy Blues contact said it was, and SOS was responsible for that then I don't know what he brings to the table as a List Manager.

The only big win he's really had post football is turning Lewis Roberts-Thompson into a footballer, so if we use him as a Development Coach, that might be OK.

Wait no, he's the Football Admin Manager.

The list manager is the guy who oversees all the contract negotiations in combination with coach, the GM, the medical staff and the recruiting team.

It's a pretty tense role any time you're trying to sign, draft or discard a player.

not if you're organised with basic parameters that everyone understands - cushy job

Unless you're tasked to re-do the way a club does contracts and profile player types, roles and overall list structure to better plot for success on the field?

Don't forget Jared Rivers. Turned him around into a very good footballer.

SOS would not be a negative for the club. Think of him as a bizzaro Kernahan.

bizzaro Kernahan would make a good reality show.

Confirmed he has stepped down from the Giants which will be effective after the draft.

Love SOS back at the club, but hopefully he will be a good list manager. Hard to judge what he has done at the Giants given the high picks they have had.

"“Everyone’s linked him to us; they have been for the past month or so,’’ Carlton football operations manager Andrew McKay told the Herald Sun.
“We certainly intend to put more resources into our recruit and list management, and we’ve made no secret of that. Stephen as has finished with GWS, so we would certainly look at him. We’re looking at quite a number of people.’’"

From the Age today.

"The Blues, having shaken up their list during the trade period, believe they are not as advanced in their recruiting methods as some rivals." I think that comes under stating the obvious.

Oh, and can Jack Silvagni play?
