I reckon you start to know where you stand when you can honestly say that your best and most honest game of the season was a loss.

Garlett was a disgrace. Enjoy life at the NBs. Weak hands, weak tackling, weak kicking, weak efforts, weak brain, no heart.

Umpires were a mess yet again, but three goals (would have been four if Garlett could kick over a jam tin) up that late in the last - that can't be lost. We should know that we've seen it two weeks in a row.

Great effort.

We should/could be 8-3 ? (Rich, Dees, Bris, Geel). We'd be $8 for the flag if that was the case

We're in danger of being lumbered with that insulting epithet 'brave'....

Been waiting for us to kick over 100 points in a game against a good side for a while
Step in the right direction
On the improve, but still a few passengers....

Fairly early on in his career, I reckon he was a strong chaser, decent tackler and good mark.

Shows patches of brilliance, but wonder why things have changed?

Even if we split those four games it's a different feel to the season altogether.

Maybe the shoulder op ?.

You're right. Especially in his first year, he was a great mark for his height and weight. A shadow now.

I've held off criticising him so far this year, but tonight was too much (or too little, more accurately). He was a disaster. Can't carry that when every one else is busting a gut. He was shown up.

What about Yarren in the 2nd qtr (I think) when he was held by the arm & no free kick. Went down for a goal to them. He also went 1 handed at the ball twice in a contested situation and turned it over. Not good enough.

Well done Jamo, Rowe and Walker!!

The coach did.

Why don't we get on the defensive side when defending? If we did the little things better we would be a whole lot better team. Everyone knows the umpires are shit, but we have to do the things we can control better.

I don't think Brock even knows where the defensive side is. Nothing new here whatsoever.

His position at the point wasn't too bad. He was between the contest and Selwood. It was the great hands from Horlin-Smith (?) who brought Selwood into play. It was a shame Selwood had so much space to run into, but in the heat of the battle at that stage it's probably understandable no player wanted to zone off their man to protect space.

I thought he worked his guts out. But I suppose that should be a prerequisite anyway.

For 21 players the effort was unconditional.

Just home from the game. Proud of the effort but so disappointed. Best team didnt win.
Bloody umpires.
Why wasnt that awful bounce recalled? Menzel should have got a free in the goal square. Waite looked like he kicked that goal but no goal review.
Did anyone notice the Geelong runner in the middle of the players late in the game, radio said it should have been a free to us.
Great game by Gibbs.
