It will be Kernahan's cruellest legacy.

He will announce the re-signing of Gibbs and then leave as President to the adulation of most Blues fans.

Unfortunately it will be the worst decision he could have made. But the alternative, i.e. letting Gibbs walk is beyond the capabilities of one S. Kernahan.

Yeah all for letting him go based on posts by the experts on talking Carlton

Like the club has any leadership at the moment...

And you seriously think Judd has trade value at the moment?

With respect, your comments are a bit out of touch.

I said like judd, not judd now!. Maybe read before commenting

With all due respect, I suggest you read your post again. It is clearly capable of being read 2 ways.

When someone does a "trade in", they give something up. If you'd said "trade for", you might have had a point.

If we are targeting a FA and get our man, there is no compensatory FA pick....just like last year Betts for Daisy.

If not then picks 4 & 5 look pretty good.

We'd probably use those picks to trade for a big fella at the Suns or GWS....end up with kids who are still developing.

One of the worst decision this club made was letting Betts go.
The 2nd worst decision this club could make is letting Gibbs walk!
Thankfully it seems that is not going to be the case.
Incidently it seems the same TC'ers that wanted Walker gone are now queing up for Gibbs.

The worst decision our club made was giving Waite & Carrazzo 3 year contracts and giving Judd a huge 1 year deal.

Hey Agro, just out of curiousity, care to summarise Juddy's "huge" 1 year deal just so we can all understand it a little more?

For the 100th time, Carrazzo was given a 2 year contract extension.

In fairness I don't think they had much of a choice.

Because of the money they are paying Waite, Carrazzo and Judd.

Hey Kezza using a SurreyBlue debating strategy, Colourman has explained Carrazzo's 3 year deal 1001 times.

Not having a go Agro - just curious, as I don't believe I have seen it published or highlighted anywhere.
I like to understand it a little more, in fact I would like to compare it to Dale's if possible. Any-one?

ps. just facts please as well.

True, but I believe he was keen to head back to Adelaide anyway.

Pretty sure they used the pick to get Luke Hodge. Croad wasnt that old, at a guess he was early 20's

in effect youre still trading for a first rounder.

not to any club in particular

basically if he goes anywhere else he will fulfill his potential in my opinion
if he stays he wont

what will draft with his pick is a non versatile hbfer type.. a big slow mid.. or a slow tall

thats what our recruiters have downpat... theyre not going to get us a dynamic type .. hard to see dynamic in among all those plodders running around the TAC

Isn't this the problem

Why doesn't the club ensure there is the right coaching staff/development environment/recruiters?

Instead of pissing money up against the wall going to the US (Geelong go to Falls Creek) - put that money into development/recruiting.

What has the sacking/paying out of Ratten, Richardson and Brown contracts in conjunction with the Malthouse appointment meant in terms of funds left for other assistants/development coaches?

OMG Synbad actually admitted he was wrong!

Has this ever happened before?

Gee ol` Derwayne has changed his tune. He just queried on 3AW if any team would take Gibbs.
"But he`s a Crows father son".

Funny, i dont remember his dad playing for the Crows.
Hasnt the media turned on Gibbs? I am sure he was not expecting any of this.
