What other players through the midfield??

Personally id only be looking at Menzel.. should be in next week...!!!
Then maybe Graham and at a stretch Bell... the rest wont be much chop ....

Still have Carrazzo and Murph out injured... but that shouldnt make that much of a difference.

Id probably only be relying on
McKiness
Menzel

Then Bell and Graham

and the 2 injureds.. thats it!!!

But we dont have a hell of alot we can call upon TO MIX THINGS UP!!!

thats the probem....

Buckleys useless.. cos he can only come in for a small forward.

The rest are hbfer types or crappy talls!!!

Of the midfielders, who do you leave out for Graham, Menzel and Bell to come in? Who can they be swapped with like-for-like?

True. He just can't polish the turd of a list Ratts left him. Nobody could.

Easy one that - bring him in for Garlett. I'm a big Jeffy fan, but every season without fail he goes missing midway through the season. Last year he was shocking during out midseason nadir, but with all the injuries we had no choice but to keep playing him. With Buckley and Menzel waiting in the wings, I'd give Jeff a couple of games off to recharge the batteries. Not doing anything for his development or confidence to keep persisting in him, given his history.

Lucas is useless.. ad you wouldnt take out mids for mids.. youd take out Whites for mids.. and in a game like today Casboult...

The fact that he needed to school these duds on how to play wet weather footy is an indictment on our list

The fact he didn't school them pre game is an indictment on him

We need to hit the Gym.

For what it's worth I was pleasantly surprised we had a dip in these conditions and against this side.

We did alot wrong but better than expected.

Wrong set up at selections had us behind the eight ball to start off with.

agree

don't have much to look forward to

we have been fortunate with injuries this year, so our depth hasn't really been tested

Dumb dumb dumb football, and we gave them a 2 quarter head start.
Far too many passengers, and guys who played ok games but made crucial terrible wet-weather decisions.

The last free-kick goals were shockers, and killed the game, but it didn't look like we were going to be able to kick 2 more goals at the time Hendo got pinged.

Buckley is way off AFL standard...... saw him last weekend.

He needs to be playing and developing on the wing... he doesnt touch the ball.. and in AFL will be doing less than Garlett

Don't swap like for like. Take out Boots and/or White. Play midfielders off hb and give them minutes onball. Take out Garlett if he has lost the plot and throw one in the pocket too.

More rotations. Can keep up what we do well for longer. We also get more flex and better hands , skills and running into the 22.

:hitcomputer: :hitcomputer: :hitcomputer:

Anything more you would like to blame on him? Labor leadership issues? Climate change? McDonald's gherkins?

Always some way to bring it back to Mick's fault isnt there? It's like a broken record.

Its about getting the best out of the team you select, that's what a good coach can do. He's not doing that.

I would actually say he is getting the best he can out of our list. 22pts our worse loss on a soggy SCG against the reigning Premier who came off a loss.

Menzel, Graham, McInnes, maybe Buckley are the future, but not fit enough yet. Hopefully McInnes is not too far away as he's our third tall moving forward.

yeah maybe... but todays mids must be able to run hard and stand in a tackle and execute

we have mids that can do one of those elements and nothing in the reserves too...

we can bring in a Laidler... or a Duigan... or a Davies... to go with a Bootsma.. and a White etc... but thats not the mix teams are using right now is it???

Sounds good in theory but I don't see it working against everyone like that. I suppose with Jamo and Henderson taking the talls all the time, it could work for a lot of opposition though.
