Thought we killed them from the quarter time to 3/4 time.

Probably should have been 5 goals up, but that's tale thats seen again and again. The side that doesn't make the most of it's dominance can get run over.

The good news is Rowe looked good enough and if we'd played like that against the Tiges we would have won by 10 goals.

Stop making excuses.

Pathetic performance that they could not take advantage of having Kreuzer ruck against a spud like Q Lynch. A team with Ball/Krakouer/Beams/Thomas missing.

Who's making excuses?

We ran out of legs, was obvious, players standing flat footed, loose men in their F50
We played dumb, lazy football (its possible for both to be true)
You've pointed out everything we did wrong, and by the sounds of it there's a lot (most of which I agree with)
Despite all that, we lost by less than 3 goals and were in the game in the last 2mins to a pretty good football team.

Its not good, and far from making excuses I'm looking at it in a reasoned manner.

Being over emotional is fine, but it makes you look like a bit of a dill really.

Go outside, have a walk, watch the replay if you need too later, its not the end of the world.

Our leaky defence needs to be sorted out too.

Lucas wasn't the only one to miss tackles, it hurt us last week as well, and a few guys let opponents break free today.

It was an odd game in some ways, several players were barely noticeable and it was the input from too few that had us in front. That was exposed in the last when we should have been the stronger team.

At 3/4 time we were behind in most stats except hit outs, cont possessions (albeit only just) and the scoreboard.

Can only put their extra run in final qtr down to more desire. Lynch was very good. Lynch?! We've only ourselves to blame and but for a few exceptions we weren't tough enough mentally.

Frees 21-13.
That's a huge difference in any game.
Apart from WCE at home anyway/

You don't have to read my posts if you don't like to Brad. Who said it is the end of the world?

Everyone can scroll past posts.

I do it all the time. ;)

Only a dill would try to stiffle discussion about our performance - as I said, you can scroll past my posts easily if you don't like them.

In retrospect he shouldn't have played. Easy to say that now, the match committee must have had their reasons.

I thought it was a great game for excitement; until the umpiring bias and tiredness wore us down.....whatever happened to ''Holding the Ball''?...........

Bootsma is not up to this level; and Juddy doesn't seem to have the same lust for the ball that he had in the past.....Carrots was quiet; and we missed Eddie's input desperately.....even with all of his faults; oh for a Fevola!

Yes the umpiring was atrocious - Collingwood players caught holding the ball time and again yet no free kick given.
A bit harsh on Bootsma - he will be a player. Just needs a bit more size, strength and experience.
Yes Carrots was disappointing.

He was excellent early in the game. Murphy too and then their influence faded. I hope that wasn't just due to fitness.

So you're like jake and think you can put your opinion out there and no one can touch it?

The forums are for discussion, if you don't like people challenging your opinion, and providing some balance to the discussion, start an online blog and don't allow comments.

Then people can really choose whether they want to read it or not.

good advice.

I've banned myself from the match discussion threads this year.

Maybe I need to do the same from post match discussion as well.

Worst defence and offence since Pagan days, amazed we got that close the shock of jolly took them a while to think through then good night. Thouhy, Davies, boots, laidler, casboult,Robinson & Simpson all needed a zone 1 ticket, can't win with that many down.

Maybe it is, maybe we're just not fit enough....maybe like I said its a combination of running out of legs and being lazy.

One of the few posts worth reading. Was a very good game of football and a game of small margins. We seem to be out of puff in the 4th and that is a concern when we had 10 days break. Still early in the season. Geelong is beatable and I am confident we'll win in Perth.
