So lots of non-renewals every year, but the board doesn't know why. Why don't they trying ringing a few of them and asking?

We were a great VFL club, back when things were simpler. We are a mediocre AFL club though.

Meant to but never got around to it and then became increasingly disillusioned with direction of the club.
But heard nothing from the club. No call or email asking if I wanted to renew membership or questioning why I hadn't. If they had I would have signed up straight away. And there's four memberships inKenny's clan.
But for the past 2 yrs or so I still keep getting periodic emails from membership dept thanking me for contacting membership and my inquiry would be dealt with. My query from back then was never answered ... but keep getting emails.

Bet you got a phone call asking you to buy a $200 raffle ticket.

Nope. Didn't get one of those calls either

I was kind of hoping that Stephen M might have acknowledged our posts, and maybe even said that he'd pass on the gist of what's bothering us. Oh well.

Should I vote for Joe? I don't know enough about him. All I know is that Sticks does NoT want me too.
As in...Do Not Vote For Joe. they actually wrote something like that on their mail out..just not manners is it?

I downgraded to a 3 game membership this year and as such don't know who's actually running in this election. Anyone able to fill me in?

Does anyone know who the mysterious Joe is?

I know where you're coming from kezza. I'm tempted to do a similar thing but I don't like wasting my vote on someone I know nothing about. I wonder if Joe is going to send something out (aside from the cost, would he even have access to the members' contact details?). He could do a lot worse than come onto TC in the week or so before voting closes because it sounds like there are many of us keen to at least hear what he has to say...

Voting or a guy you know nothing about, but could be influenced by scripted answers on this forum. Hmmmm.

Yeah mate, I'm going to fall for everything he says.... :screwy:

I'd be happy if Joe, or any other candidate, came on here and told us about himself and what his plans are to improve our football club if elected. I'll decide what does and doesn't influence me.

Partner at Spagnolo and Co? And/or Group Business Adviser at YPA Estate Agents? Also a Member of Carltonians.

You can vote for whoever you like, I just don't care who is elected as it won't make a difference until the leadership changes.

When was the last time an unknown got onto the board?

Joe probably isnt bringing anything much to the table.
No different to any of the others.. except one or two...perhaps
So i dunno why they dont want people to vote for him.....feel threatened that somebody elses nothing much will roll over their nothing much???

At least Joe would be a fresh face

Basically it's joe or sticks. You only leave one out as you vote 5 out of 6. I know which one needs to go!

Sticks is much stickier to dislodge than Joe...

Sticks would have nightmares of sharing the same fate as Smorgy

Despite how much people might want Sticks out of the President's chair, your kidding yourselves if you think voting him out 1 year early will help the Club.
