I agree. He can easily through a forward pocket with Judd & Robbo! :smoking:

Starts to make us very dangerous.

Don't think he has the smarts and composure for the midfield.

Werent people complaining when Ratts played Walker through the midfield ? Getting him closer to goal they would say. Move him back to where he kicked 50 goals in 2011.

I would hope we'll get a lot better on the spread, both in attack and defence. It seems like we don't push hard to spread from the contest, hence our players just bombing it long into the forward line a lot. I also think we struggle to defend teams that spread well. Hard 2 way running is something i expect to see more of next year.

Like Barassi did with Flower and MM did with Buckley, he will try to make him more accountable and improve him as a player by giving him more defensive tasks, and possibly play him off wing or half back occasionally.
He will try and build up strong inside mids like he did with Lucuria at Pies.
He likes class finishes on outside like Matera, Mainwairing, Hawkins and Thomas, so Gibbs might play off the wing next season.

I reckon our squad is most like the Eagles circa 1990 of the teams MM took over coaching - talented, but flaky and prone to lapses and unable to consistently compete with teams above them.
If true to form we should have a harder edge next season and improve quickly. He had Footscray, WCE, and Pies in finals in 2nd, 1st, and 3rd years, and they all started further back then we are coming from.

Cannot see someone as physically scared of contact as Gartlett surviving under MM

Judd is far more accountable in his roles at Carlton than he ever was at West Coast. Silly comment.

I was wondering the same thing myself. Obviously very, very raw. But he's got real AFL quality athleticism/height. The only one on our list at the moment other than an injury-plagued Waite.

He'll get blown away playing as a midfielder bondi, but I agree with you in that he is more than just a ruckman, just like Cox is more than just a ruckman. The reach issue is a concern, but he's got more he can do to gain the explosive power in his legs to make his leap a useful tool at centre bounces.

Give him time, what he's managed to achieve so far is bloody brilliant for his age.

Onya jimmae, I was hoping you'd respond with something positive...and I hope you're right, because for he's possibly a candidate as Trade bait.

But I'll live in hope, because if we can get his spring back, and the extra year in pace, I think we have a good reconditioned Rolls Royce....admitedly don't know much about cars.

Not sure his kicking is good enough to kick inside 50 - countering that, his set shot kicking is pretty good.

Plan, Do, Check, Act

We will find a system

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W._Edwards_Deming

1. Plan to sack
Thornton
Russell
Bower
Davies
Kerr
White

2. Recruit
Cloke
Goddard
Best available
Money Ball some players for depth

3. Teach
Defend - Kick up the line, more ruck contests

4. Practice

5. Do it

Fastforward post knee reco, and I feel the game has gone past Kreuzer as a ruckman, and he really doesn't excite me too much as a FF either, but he might be able to play a Cloke like CHF role except he has one glaring weakness: he doesn't take contested marks. Period!

Are you serious?

Kreuzer rucking is the one area he's improved in this year. His average is at a career high 22.5 per game, more than double his previous best.

Yeah, he's a legend, he'll be able to fix all issues with a wave of his wand, no need for any research.

It was a dead rubber dude. Gavin Brown is already there. Brett Ratten game plan.. Why on earth is there a need for Mick Malthouse to watch that crap?? I'm still not sure why I watched it.

His role wasn't really to be accountable whilst playing at west coast. The game has changed big time since then. He was unstoppable in those days as well. Why be accountable when everyone is chasing you? Well, that's how I saw it back then.

Psychologist,

I wouldn't call judd an elite kick. I will pay yarran. Mcinness, Watson, okeefe is stretching it. Pretty hard to find 5 elite disposers of the ball on the list let alone the 15 you need to win a flag. So how does mm get quick results with this list. We gave ratten 5 years. We need to give mm 3 to 4.

How ridiculous ... sack white??? He has done fine after coming off a big injury. Sure he isn't our first choice chb but why would you axe a developing player. He is not a list clogger
