fwiw, I think Juddy was really embarrassed by chicken gate, and I'm not surprised i he wants out of the limelight.

Agree, between these two for mine.

I'd go Carrots, mainly as he is way ahead of Murph on maturity and media savvy and also has a B&F to his name.

Murph will be cherry ripe in a few years.

Gary Ayres would say that ''you've got your Judds and your Carrazzos and your Simpsons; but Carrots is looking cherry ripe for this''

Can't see any reason why Andrew Walker wouldn't make a good captain.

Not sure about a good captain, but he'd make a brilliant cap!

Would love to see Carrazzo get it, think that he is the most deserving...

But do you really go from one 29-year-old to another? At least if you give it to someone like Murphy, he is a few years younger and the move can be sold as the beginning of a new era. With someone like Carrazzo/Simpson, perhaps not so much.

Indeed he has, sentence should have read "and, like Murphy, also has a B&F to his name"

jamo is probably the best speaker of the ones mentioned and i think would handle media commitments very well but as good as he is he is too injury prone and we really need a skipper who cna lead from the front week in and week out and be a leader on field, for me its simmo all the way, he would die for the blue boys . next choice would be carrots and then murphy for me

Either of them for me.

Why not both of them?

For the love of all things holy, please, do not go down the path of co-captaincy.

Wooosh.....

Carrots for me. Let Murph go about his business as he has been. I'd like a Captain who got a bit of C... about him. Someone who is not affraid to tell it how it is as well as lead by example. Carrots all the way.
Judd is a great player, Murph will be. Carrotts is an absolute warrior who takes no prisoners. It's a no brainer for me.

Murph is the logical replacement given his age and talent. However, I feel as though the team would be better served if someone like Simmo or Carrots were captain. Theyre both extremely hard working players on the field and have given their all to get where they are today. Carrots was let go from Geelong, rookie listed by us and then had to fight his way on to the senior list. Has worked hard on his weakness and has become one of our better midfielders. I also remember a slight wingman from the Eastern Ranges who took with our first pick at #45 in the 2002 draft. Didnt register a possession in his first three games and had it not been for a broken thumb in 2004, he may have been given the axe. Now, Simmo has become one of our better mids by cutting sides to shres with his precise kicking and line breaking pace.

I would like to see us go with one of these two over the obvious choice in Murph.
