Ratten said on 3AW today that Robbo, Simmo, Tex & Waite are all a chance of returning this week. I think it's unlikely that Simmo will be ready, but assuming Robbo & Tex are OK they will come straight in. Waite is the interesting one - he's underdone, but I get the feeling the MC will bring him straight in after 1 VFL game. Not 100% sure it's the right thing to do personally, but he certainly looked good today (but I guess it depends on how he pulls up). And I think we might have to bring back the extra tall defender against the Swans at the Dome - it's a choice between Bower, Watson & White. I'd go with Watson.

In: Robbo, Tex, Waite, Watson
Out: AJ, Casboult, Dale, Duigan

If Robbo doesn't come up, AJ might hold his place but I wouldn't mind bringing in ROK instead. If Tex isn't ready, I'd play Lucas.

If Waite comes in, it's either Casboult or T-Bird that has to make way. Casboult has done quite well in his first 2 games, but I don't mind resting him at this stage. His body has been fragile and I imagine the club will be keen to manage his workload carefully.

B: Tuohy Jamo McInnes
HB: Yarran Watson Gibbs
C: Scotland Brock Collins
HF: Garlett T-Bird Robbo
F: Betts Waite Walker

R: Kreuzer Carrazzo Murphy
Inter: Armfield Bell Curnow
Sub: Davies

i like these ins but i see the outs as dale, collins, touhey and davies

casboult must stay, he will straigten us out and give krooozer some help. joseph even though he aint my fav player did a great job on weekend and deserves to stay. collins a bit unlucky so perhaps its duigan that goes, zac is a long term prospect but may have to make way this weekend.

Seems like the other guys will not come up for this weekend, in which case I only see one change required...

Jamo to Goodes - smashed him last time around (assuming their only change is Mumford for Reid)
AJ to Jetta
Watto comes back in to take LRT or the resting ruck
Yarran to McGlynn - Yazz carved him up last time around, and his record on playing on the rebounding defenders this year hasn't been great
I expect Jack to go to Murphy. McVeigh didn't work last time around.
Mids - McLean head to head with Kennedy, Carrots onto O'Keefe, Gibbs to go with Bolton.
Reckon it comes back to Davies or McInness for the last spot (if the ins occur). Can't see Davies being dropped after one game.

B Joseph Watson Thornton
HB Carrazzo Jamison Scotland
C Gibbs McLean Simpson
HF Robinson Walker Armfield
F Betts Casboult Garlett
R Kreuzer Bell Murphy
INT Yarran McInness Tuohy Collins

In: Simpson, Walker, Robinson, Watson
Out: Duigan, Davies, Curnow, Dale

Waite in if Walker not right, Curnow in if Simpson isn't.

Apparently Watson and White played well in the Ressies but i dont think there is a match up for them. And as for Tex, some time in the 2s to rip it up before he comes back.

White: Had a shut down job on someone (can't remember who though) against SYD last year @ The SCG and got rave reviews. He may have broken/fractured his leg in the same game or maybe that was K.Jack in a contest with White....
He will be high in contention for a spot this week.

He played on Goodes for 3 quarters, then moved forward and kicked a crucial goal. Was good, but I think I'd prefer Watson, and Thornton offers a bit more at this stage.

Simple, really

You could probably say the main danger is the Sydney 'Team', they are a unit, know their roles and shut their mouth.

I don't see Simmo getting up he stilll had a retainer in on Sunday.
Robbo I don't know much about but I would like to see Waite and Levi in the same team with the smalls crumbing. I think they can actually cause some headaches for their defence and would also like to see Gibbs in the forward line to start the game.
I'd like to see Yarren on Jetta.
Yarren I think with the edge defensivly and with some blocking can still inflict some problems.

Simmo said in the prematch he'd be back this week or next, didn't sound at all convincing that he'd be back for the Swans

No! No! No! No!

What is it with all these changes???

We won. Let's establish a culture that says if we win, then the changes will be minimal.

I can't believe people want to drop Davies. After one game?! How's the kid going to get any confidence?

Two changes max* : Dale because he's been sub twice and needs a full run. Duigan because he's been out
of form for a while, (poor guy's been playing catch up all year after early interruptions), and we might need more height
in the back line.

Walker needs speed and run. If he's had a calf injury then he's going to need at least one week to "tune up" before
coming back. Collins is just starting to get his confidence. Be a disaster to drop him now.

No way has Waite done enough. At least another week. Tell Cas he has a chance to keep his spot if he can play
well in the dry.

Show some faith in ALL the players, not just the favourite ones and the club will be better for it.

* Assuming no injuries.

I was at training last Friday and I must say Waite did look to be moving pretty well.

Didn't surprise me that he had a decent vfl hit out.

Enough to come straight back in? Not sure...

Judd and Simmo did a grueling extra running session after training too.

Didn't notice walks or robbo. Warnock was out on the track.

Been reported Reid has done some minor medial ligament damage in his knee. Reckon he will be out for a fortnight and will miss the clash.

Gotta say that it gets my goat a bit saying 'x' Carlton player to take 'x' Sydney player all the time.

Sure, Sydney are one of the form sides at the moment but we need to be proactive in creating a few more headaches for them apart from Eddie and Murph.

For me it has to be Bell at half forward. Tough, loves a snagger and has the tank to run free and cause some headaches for Longmire.

I'm with Braithy, play tough footy but proactive footy. We won't win by trying to tag every Sydney player out of the game.

Mitch Robinson is in Darwin for Joey Andersons fathers funeral. I think he will be back in Melbourne later in the week. My mate Pecker saw Mitch in the local gym having a good workout, so he is keeping himself in shape.

I'm getting the feeling of confidence in the team again.
I know we've scraped through wins in the last 2 weeks against ordinary opposition.
But we've scrapped and clawed a win like good teams do even when they're playing not so good.
We weren't pretty, and Brock's goal wasn't convincing, nor deliberate.

Murphy's leadership...a bit of lady luck...and Carrazzo back in the middle gives us ticker whilst Juddless.

I expect Waite and Robinson to play, and that's a great thing for our morale and strengthens our team
Dunno about Walker and doubt Simpson. I reckon Walker would be right if he's selected.
I'm sure he hasn't been sitting on the couch for 3 weeks (since Pies game). So his availability will be a triple bonus.
Give us a chance to compete with firepower.

Really think Casboult and Waite forward will be a headache for Richards, Mattner and co.
But I think its our outside speed which will win us the game.
I think we've finally worked out how hard we have to play to win the contested ball.
That Hawks game was a real eye opener, and the North game must have been the kick in the guts.

Backline has pace to start attack.

Can't wait to see if we can win 3 in a row before the Brizzy game, then Judd and Simmo return.

Come on Bluebaggers....................win
