That's a sad tale if it comes true Don.

Finishing behind such AFL powerhouses as the Kangas and Tiges will be hard to take.

What's sadder is that if results go the way I predicted there, we'd be about 2-3 games behind those teams too.

Had a good look at the run home I dont think we will make the 8 unless there is a massive turn around in form

If you said there were 6 sides competing for 7th and 8th spot Geelong Stklida Carlton North Freo and Richmond

Geelong 32 points 7 games against teams in the 8 3 not in the8
Saints 24 points 4 games against teams in the 8 - 2 games against sides competing for th 8 - 6 not in the 8
Carlton 24 points 5 games against teams in the 8 - 2 games against sides competing for the 8 - 5not in the 8
North 24 points 5 games against teams in the 8 - 2 games against sides competing for the 8 -5 not in the 8
Freo 24 points 3 games against teams in the 8 - 2 games against sides competing for the 8- 7 not in the 8
Rich 24 points 2 games against teams in the 8 - 3 games against sides competing for the 8 - 8 not in the 8

Freo and Richmond both have dream runs home they play 5 games against teams not really in contention and 2 & 3 games against sides in the 8

We have to beat all the sides below us as well as 2 sides currently in the 8 to make it - we need 7 out of the last 10 and still hope sides like the Western Bulldogs , Melbourne and Port pull off the odd upset against the likes of Stkilda Richmond and Freo

Geelong only have to win half their games which they should do - even though they have atough draw the 2 game buffer they have at the moment will save them

Stkilda a better draw than us - we need to beat them and hope WB knock them off

13 wins is the magical number this year - and just think 14 wins 3 years back would get you top 4 and often 10 or 11 wins would see you in the 8

Lose the next 2 and it's all over red rover

I had us 12th too, but I admit that is probably worst case scenario.

North, dogs, Richmond are all must-wins.
If we win get 3 in a row to pick up some momentum then Sydney & Brisbane at home are winnable.

What's our best winning streak in the last few years? 3 games?

Going to be needing to break that if we want finals.

We haven't released a DVD to market, thus not very long.

  :thanks:
Imagine the outrage at windy hill.

The HUN might even have to write an article critical of the Golden boy if they miss the 8 !!

Although Carlton finishing below Freo and Ninthmond would really put the finishing touches on a dismal season

No, it'll be injuries that were the cause.

Meanwhile, we're just shit.

we can afford to lose one more game only - i have that as v Sydney at the dome.

The way i panned it out we will have to win against st kilda in R23 on friday and rely on collingwood to beat Essendon* on the saturday.

collingwood may tank though so they face Essendon* and not us in the finals?

all a bit fanciful really cos i cant see us winning 5 of the next 6 anyway

SYDNEY
ADELAIDE
HAWTHORN
WESTCOAST
COLLINGWOOD
NTH MELBOURNE
GEELONG
CARLTON
----------
Essendon*
Fremantle
St Kilda
Richmond
Lions
Port Adelaide
Bulldogs
Melbourne
Gold Coast
GWS
