bluegirl72,
hate? i dont hate anyone, its a strong word.
i dont rate bower, thats all.
would prefer too see thornton down back.
every time bower has the ball, he refuses to raise he's eyes, runs to fast.
i am hopeful of watson, but more likely it will be thornton down back.
has bower this preseason made you think, gee whiz looking good,
has he improved he's kicking? NO
has he beaten players one on one? NO
i just dont think he has taken that next step.
it is JUST MY OPINION.

okey doke.
when I said 'hate' I probably meant 'don't rate as a player for us.'
no wuzzers anyway.

FWIW...I reckon he will play..and hopefully...he'll play well.
I saw a couple of things to like from him so far in the NAB.

bluegirl72,
if jamison and laidler were fit, would you play bower?
not being a smart arse, just a question bud,
thanks for being nice to,
nothing worst when you answer a question, and you get abused.
i love my blues, so if he did play, i would support him 100%.

No.
But they're not fit, and need to be replaced.
Thornton can go back to fill one spot, but we still need to fill another.
I'd lean towards Bower over Watson at this stage.

If Russell showed some form he would certainty be best fit to replace Laidler in the 3rd up defender role.

That's got me baffled. He worked so hard to reach his potential and it's seemingly vanished.

Bower for me he has showed he is getting better and better each week. From what i saw on the suspect footage from saturdays game
he was best on ground, took alot of good marks and his skills were ok.
Watson on the other hand is about a year off imo.

Guttered about walks hope these nagging injuries dont hang around.
Im nervous already about rnd 1 although i am every year

Seems to have massive confidence issues.
When he's up, he's second in the B&F. When he's down, he's not even close.
Obviously injuries play a part with this too.

Hope it comes good for him, because he has shown he can be a gun.

I agree. I think he was quite good on a wing. Not sure he can play as KP defender tho

I know that bb23..I am a fan of your posts. I was surprised..but you are not alone with those thoughts.

I would always want Jammo and Laids first!...it is good for us if Bower steps up..and then there will be fierce comp between all of them..Lachie and Zac too.

Ellard hurt his knee.

Collins is the interesting one. Has he already played enough minutes? Or has he not been good enough for round 1 (especially considering the Walker injury).

There's a possibility he's being rested, but everything else suggests he's not in R1 calculations.

Very strong team from North:

1. Hamish McIntosh
3. Ryan Bastinac
4. Liam Anthony
6. Lachie Hansen
8. Daniel Wells
9. Andrew Swallow
10. Ben Cunnington
11. Michael Firrito
12. Lindsay Thomas
13. Leigh Adams
16. Scott Thompson
18. Shaun Atley
19. Sam Wright
20. Drew Petrie
22. Todd Goldstein
23. Kieran Harper
25. Robbie Tarrant
27. Aaron Edwards
29. Brent Harvey
31. Cameron Delaney
33. Matt Campbell
34. Jamie Macmillan
41. Aaron Mullett
42. Scott McMahon
43. Sam Gibson

Missing Ziebell and maybe Greenwood, Pederson & Grima. If we win this game, no one will question if we're on track or not in the papers.
