Went to the club today and th ey took my money for 2 captains club tickets. Whe n I questioned them about the probability of none being available they said they would refund if none available and they would ring me to offer level 1 reserved if captians club not available.

Can only hope it happens

I logged in to look at my membership account as i still havent received it in the mail. Am i right that if you paid by direct debit installments last year then this will continue on for next years membership automatically starting on Dec 1st? I am a bit confused by the invoice.

I tried the membership site for the 1st time tonight. Thought I would try out the 'Help me decide' function.

Chose:

Who is it for: (tried both Adult and family)
Location: (Melbourne)
How many Games: (tried 0-3 and 5-10, kids sport, own sport and frequent work travel dont leave a lot of time for footy)
Reserved Seats: (dont mind)
GF Tickets: (yes please, kids sport and the boss can GAGF if we make the GF)

Based upon my selections:

Quote:
Sorry there are no memberships for the options you selected.

Please try adjusting your selection.

HMMMMMM....what do I do now?

Poorly engineered selection code. Obviously the low-rung memberships don't guarantee you a GF seat, so take that off and you'll get a basic membership offering.

Would probably be best to get yourself a 3, 5, or 11 game basic membership and also grab the 'club 17' grand final add on! That's exactly what I'm doing

Im in the same boat as you Cranium... but what you forgot to mention is you get guaranteed access to a grand final ticket when we make it.... thats worth the extra $ in my opinion... saving the grief of trying to find a ticket on grand final week.
Ill take it

I am an AFL member with club support and get the GA Captians club upgrade to gurantee a GF ticket if we make it. Only doing this till I get my full membership through for the AFL and then will be curtains for the captians club.

AFL members usually get a presale weekend prior to the season to book a resereved seat for any H & A match at that time. usually book alot of the bigger games then and I don't even worry if it's our home game or not that way. Can get level 2A at the G and level 1 by booking then.

Love the AFL membership!

Swanny said they were supposed to be mailed last week but they had printer issues. Should be coming out this week.

It is silly that they did not email current members their passwords so they can renew.

I'm not going to renew my membership until after the NAB cup.
I am doing this as a protest against any Carlton player who decides to strike for more money.
A reserved seat in the first couple of rows at Level 3 still gives a good view, BTW. I love watching the footy at Etihad. It is hard to find a seat that doesn't give a good view apart from a couple of rows where the handrail is in the way.

dropped by the club and sorted out my membership today

Bit of a pain as I wanted to join AFL membership as well which they couldnt do (they both use the same bloody ticketing providers/systems!). So went back to work to sign up for AFL membership.

Luckily I dont work too far away so dropped by a second time to do the deed after work - took all of 5 minutes the second time around to get my CC reserved seat upgrade package/cancel my previous general admission renewal thing.

Interesting that they could find the new AFL membership package and do my upgrade as I signed up online less than an hour before I got there. Shows the system is linked - in which case there shouldnt be any reason why the club cant process AFL memberships as well!!!

First time to get reserved seating :)

I'm glad that worked out for you. I was wondering what you'd done to get dropped by the club!
Thought maybe you weren't being dedicated enough off season or something!

What can I say - too much food and alcomahol + dodgy genes has limited my opportunities at the club

Tossing up the pros and cons.

All in all, I'll probably stick with my AFL membership this year. Finally get promoted to full membership, so the need for a GF ticket isn't that much of an issue, as much as I considered the reserved seat option. Maybe a reserved seat package for the big 4 games, but otherwise happy with where I am.

Trying to renew my Concession GA 11 Game membership online.
But they want me to pay the $188 for the adult GA.
No option to change it, and not sure why it says adult, when I was concession last year.
