Sydney has won 7 games this year and lost 3.
All 3 losses are at the SCG which was their fortress.
Their win against Richmond on Sunday was their first at the SCG, they scraped over Essendon* at ANZ also.

They have won in Adelaide, Perth, Canberra, Brisbane and at Etihad over the Kangas.

From that we can say that they travel well and besides West Coast, they don't really have any big scalps.

It is a danger game because they are consistent in effort and intensity. If we are at the top of our game, we should win.

We need to win this one so that Paul Roos will have to admit we are a good team.
Mike Sheahan is quite bullish about the Blues on On The Coach and when he turns to Roos, he always gives a half-arsed back-handed compliment like "They certainly have the talent. They finished bottom for so many years" or "They are improving but is it enough for Sticks and Swann and the fans?". He either has a big hatred for the Blues or he is auditioning for Ratts' job.

Lets smash his Swannies.

Agree about the above regarding Roos and his cheap comments about us, he is always whining about our first round draft picks

I'll give Sydney a tip.

"Don't come to Melbourne on Sunday - Carlton is waiting for you and you are going to get flogged"

Do not listen at your own peril.

Rest Jamo against our biggest threat to the top 4?

They beat a ordinary North Melbourne outfit by a point at Etihad. They have not beaten anyone of note in Melbourne.

We beat Sydney by 10 goals in 2009 when we were playing well. I would expect a similar result on Sunday.

Gee the last time the punters were this confident going in we got flogged stupid by Essendon*.

I reckon some of DocSherrin's prudence is in order till we prove we can account for this mob without Judd playing out of his skin. Particularly given this is season defining for them (both in terms of credibility and top 4 aspirations).

Having said that, I reckon we're a better side than when we played them at the SCG. Blues by 4, with Walker to break their hearts.

The top 4 teams versus the rest of the competition are 32-1-1 so far.
The only loss was Hawthorn to Adelaide in Round 1.

I'm generally a nervous nellie before games. A legacy of the dark years and simply just wanting to win so badly. I physically get ultra nervous before every game we play it means that much to me.

So, despite our pretty damn good form, I find it difficult to be confident going into games. Wish I could be but I'm simply just not.

While being well placed, we aren't guaranteed top 4. Any let up and we are right back in the mix. That's why these next 2 weeks are HUGE.

Getting these 2 wins sets up our season, truly. I hope the boys are ruthless in their approach, continue to play 'Carlton 2011' football and come away with the wins. Anything less would be a disappointment.

Go Blues!

Yeah, that's just insane. I doubt Bower will play this week. He was brought in for a safe game to see where he was at. Now we know.
