Pros
Felt like the 1970s - Saturday afternoon in belting rain
Walker, finally injury free he can be the player we recruited at #2 - with Bower and Army we will have loads of run
Carrazzo - great story of persistence and great to see him doing well. Not sure if we have an official VC but he should be it
Scotland and Houla - Oldies are having great seasons
When challenged we responded well
Think criticsim of Ando unwarranted. He may not hold his place in full strength side, but as others have pointed out - think JR two years ago. Ando could develop into a solid running tagging defender over the next couple of years

CONS
Where do we think McLean and Gysberts will be in 5 years - Brock retired and Gysberts a star. Trade for super uber talent - Judd. or use late picks for players who other clubs are happy to tarde and who might have a future, don't give up first rounders for players who the trading club don't really want to hang on to.
This week a first rounder, second rounder and 4th rounder were running around with the Ants - Warnock and Mclean. I can see another Paul Chapman coming on. Hadley is way too slow but he is better than McLean. I don't know what guys we employ at the club to view other sides, but I would suggest there would be lots of people happy to take a team and watch them all year and compile dossiers on each player with particular attention to those who might fit into our side. People like River Rat and Cazz and several others here would be ideal, not to mention loads of knowledgeable footy people from lower levels. Pay them $7k per year, and for $100k we will be much better informed in our choices for trade, and we won't give up #11 picks for guys who struggle to get a game or #24 for a second ruckman for the Ants. And it will pay for itself very quickly by not having to pay out contracts on players who don't neasure up, and in better success because we know way more about the oppo than we currently do.

If Brock has a premiership medal in five years it will all be worth it. If not it was a risk that failed. Time will tell.

Thought he was good, definitely an important player for us.

I watched him closely the whole game and failed to see any effort to chase or tackle...what did u see that i didn't Juzz?

Gee thats harsh Juddy. He wasn't great more okay, but he did lay five tackles, which isn't awful. I know we are likely to get a few back over the coming weeks and a few will have to make way, but no credits in the bank for his game against West Coast just a week before? The poor kid looked like he was suffering from hypothermia in the second half [/quote]

Don't get me wrong mate I am not criticising him...I love what he brings to the team I was just saying his effort on Saturday was below par and the way to get the message across is either dropping him or revving him up for something much better this week..watch the game again..he was very lazy at a lot of contests...
