Since 2004 we have had better draft picks than the Bombers however they are playing a better style of football and some of their youngsters are developing quickly.

Eithier they are recruiting better than us or developing their players quicker or they have a game plan that all players know how to execute.

For example the use of Setanta has been terrible, we bringa guy from overseas and in 5 years we have pretty much used him in every position, is that how you develop a player? He is not a forward, he is not a ruckman, he showed promise last year playing back, All of a sudden we play him in the ruck

Based on 2009 they are harder at the ball and are able to break lines something we can not do.

I know it's early days but as much as I hate Essendow they are good to watch.

Look im not saying we dont need to develop leaders...

Im just saying you are what you eat..... im a pie...

.. and the team plays the way it trains and is developed and organised...

The other stuff means nothing.. cos every club is doing those things.

The culture of individualism, greed and unprofessionalism that was getting out of control only a few years ago needed to be eliminated.

Great programs, these.

On the other side of the coin the kid is a second year rookie listed player and if he has to play VFL seconds to gain some confidence the the kid is being treated a tad too kindly.
I assume he is a fulltime footballer. Should dominate VFL seconds.

Hugh Sandilands board

He is a second round rookie selection, not a second round ND selection......have a look where Sandilands is playing for the Hawks

Of course we are talking about CFC, he should be tearing it up at AFL level
