i feel the same way...espec about jacko

Absolutely rapt with the win. Thought we played some of our best footy for the year in 3 of the 4 quarters.

Still trying to fathom how we won after being outscored by 50 pts in 1 quarter :?

God help sides if we play consistant 4 qtr footy...

Pros:
We won from an almost hopeless position
Great self belief
Houla and Bowers' games
Hampson getting lots of hitouts
Sharing the goals around
Only one week of late nights to go.

Con:
We get a later draft pick
One week to go before a six month drought.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought before the game we had pick 6 and based on current ladder position still get pick 6.

Pros:

Finally went to a more modern mobile defence in the last qtr. Two talls and runners. We got to contests quicker and had more run.

Finally got Waite up forward. He is a genuine " X FACTOR " and should be used as such. Other people can do defensive jobs.

Finally used Cloke as a permanant forward. Is a strong mark and a good kick. Looks natural in the position.

Anderson got game time. May make some mistakes but this kid will be a star, just give him time in defence. Put Armfield in as well.

Houlihan, a little bit of skill goes a long way. A real genuine small goalkicker.

Murph and Gibbs under pressure, fantastic.

Great start.

Straight kicking for goal.

Another away record bites the dust.

Cons:

Carrazzo is NOT a defender, needs to play on ball or not at all.

That third qtr.

Opposition kicking over 100 pts again.

Walker flying for hangers to often in fwd line.

What no room for STEVO in the pro's...............
*snip*

Stevo was by far our BOG tonight.

If you want me to list all Pros I might be here for a while.

No need for name calling just because comments don't support your bias.

Its not as if I put him in the cons, mind you he had no one on him :-D

I wrote this whole post like you would not believe & then my computer stuffed up & I lost it somehow

Anyhow, can't be bothered going through it again & I'm sure I've said it all before somewhere & got the same response.

So I'm tired & will simply say, cj, you're a dropkick & suffer from a serious case of NFI. Call yourself a psyche. PSYCHE

Mods, I'll take a suspension for that. Well worth it. No probs. Oh & If I'm goin down - Keogh, so are you, even worse, you're prob an un-educated dropkick. So called supporters.

& anyone can finish a post with :-D , if you're gunna have a go at some one do it flowering properly.

I thought T-Bird's last qtr on Brown was exceptional. I would never have picked him for playing better on Brown than Bradshaw, but there you have it. Really did the job for us when Lions were streaming forward.

Oh and that Joey guy did okay too.

Another pro apart from Clokey playing forward and kicking 4, was his ability to take a specky. I can't remember the last time speckies were taken in our F50.

Fisher did a great job in the second and teamed well with hot lips who did the deed in the first qtr.

Waitey in the last was excellent to do so well with 2 goals after being dacked by Brown somewhat.

And finally - how good was My Smurph?
:-D
He kicked straight and kicked 2 goals, got us rolling in the last with 3 goal assists.

He was exceptionally brilliant on Saturday night.

Oh and those guys Judd, GIBBS and Stevens provided good back up to My Smurph too. :-D

Awesome, awesome game!

Pros:

The Carlton crowd! We had heaps of support there, and we were just about tearing down the grand stand by the end of the night. It was just awesome to be there and cheer the lads home!

Gibbs: got the side rolling with clearances in the last

Cloke: The key may be to see if we can get him to play permanent forward. Rotating with Kreuzer in 2009 would be a highlight. Someone like Brogan could slot into the centre for 1-2 years, by which time Hammer and Kreuzer can share centre square duties with Cloke and Kreuzer rotating up forward

Fev: it was good Fev the other night. Didn't do anything silly, was disciplined, and always kept trying. Good work Fev!

Team Spirit: that's the best thing about this year... these lads try their guts out. They just keep together, working their butts off to get a result. They have been a pleasure to watch, and are wonderful ambassadors of the navy blue guernsey

Cons:

Carrazzo... really not a small defender, and probably not good enough to be in our midfield rotations either

Umpiring - just appalling in the third quarter. Really woeful.

The season is almost over.

Hey Molly - remember when we used to put "the season's almost over" in the PROS column?

Thornton wasn't too bad on Bradshaw....one goal was from an arsey snap from the boundary, another that lace-out pass from McGrath after the centre clearance (that SOS wouldn't have defended), another (I think?) from that awful rucking free kick against Hampson.

There were 5 unstoppables. The snap at goal, the two lace out passes that the great SOS himself couldn't have stopped, the ridiculous free from the boundary throw in and the other ludicrous one where they were holding each other and the ump gave it to Bradshaw.

IXL must be making super sized jam tins these days or else Collo is doing the 50 metre line marking at the Gabba these days because I could have sworn that Fish kicked one from just on the 50 on Saturday Night.

Is that a Pro?

I think thats a Pro?

I mean how much more Pro could you get.

I'm going to put it down as a Pro.

Watching the Lions supporters around us shut the @#$%&! up in the last quarter and then have to walk out with embarresed looks after making messes in the pants during the third quarter.
