Well posted BB, couldn't of said it better myself.

I really have become selective of my readings here on TC. There are so many posters (such as yourself, Synbad, Keogh, Melvey etc) as they state their opinions and back them up with comments. They are genually interesting even if sometimes I don't agree.

There are people that get abusive and I generally ignore them as I believe they lose the point.

As for Carlton (which is why we are here) we have taken great strides this year, finally.

My comments are that to get back to the top a lot more needs to be done and there are at least 10 players on our list that will not be part of it. This will NOT happen tomorrow it will happen over the next few years.

My comments are based with this in mind and are made after wacthing for long periods, not making and assessment after one particular game.
Fisher did o.k If he kicked straight he would have got 5 goals.I think Fisher problem is just his kicking hasn't been the best at the moment, but he will come good. and Thornton does not fumble,he is the best in defence. I think you just don't like him, maybe because he was in that photo smiling in that gay club, lol or something else maybe because he wasn't happy with his contract and was thinking of going to Hawks.
Rambo

He got a few possession but was still ordinary. I just do not believe his kicking will improve. Some players are good kicks some are not. The issue with him it exposes his other weaknesses.

Sides are running off him and exposing his pace and defensive skills. This also causes him to be pushed up the ground where he doesn't hurt the opposition. These days you cannot push him deep and leave him there. It is one of the reasons we struggle to kick goals.

I like Fisher but he is not the future and in my opinion the modern game of a smaller more mobile forward set up has meant that his type is a liability.

This place could get mighty lively if we're not accounting for the likes of StKilda Essendon* NthMelbourne etc. next year ...

I think we have the playing talent and should be progressed enough in development & structure to finish 4th-8th next year .. anything less is not good enough and would suggest problems within the FD which might see heads roll.
