That too. You would think he would of changed things around before being down by 40 points

PROS

Bummers will win a few nore and miss a good draft pick, then Monga, Lucas and Fletcher will retire and they'll be shite !!! 8) 8) 8) 8)

Fev on fire

IN: Ando, Harts, Hammer

CONS

Carrots must go. Ditto Fisher. They've been ok while we've been crap but now we're on the move they can't cut the mustard.

JR.......I've been on/off/on/off him all year. But finally, today showed he's just a player, and an ordinary one. Bye Bye.

Murph, CLANGER KING. For a guy that at times is so sublimely skilled, his execution is often terrible. That bit of play where he should have drilled it 10 times then decided to handball to Fev who was double teamed in the square was horrendous. Pray he doesn't become Carrots mk II :( :(

Poor decision to drop Hammer when bummers had so much height. Kreuz and Cloke rotating against at leat one genuine ruck ain't gonna do it.

Wiggo. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......

Losing to the Bummers. :( :( :x :x

Instead of Pros and Cons, I'm going to label them DUCs and Melveys- before I go on, Melvey, please, every time after a loss (or even after a win, for that matter!), don't state what Carlton should do and ape the good aspects of the opposition, namely Essendon*'s forward line, or Collingwood fleet-footed half-back flankers, or Hawthorn's Buddy and Roughy. Loosen up a little and laud the good parts of Carlton- we are developing our own style! :!:

Anyway, the DUCs:
* The mini comeback
* Fevola
* Gibbs
* we fought it out, despite being outplayed for the majority of the game;
* A definite reality check- we have a way to go; however

Melveys:
* A very tardy opening- really off the boil
* Against any side, we cannot afford to give away a 7 goal lead
* We got too far ahead of ourselves; and
* Still too many blokes jump for the contests and not one player manning up on their direct opponent- Essendon* scored at least three goals in the first 1/4 from this! :twisted:

There are many HARD LESSONS to be learnt on the road to premiership glory, esp. for a young team... and we certainly got that today! Another box you can tick off I suppose

CON:

We couldnt win it for Dick :( .. woulda been nice if we coulda given him a victory today

I never expected us to make the finals this year so I'm not too pissed off with today's loss in that regard... but flower me I hate losing against the bummers more than any other team!! Twice this year to this shit side!! :evil:

Geez Melvey after 3 weeks of saying Carlton will get beaten you got it right more from hope the way you post

I am sure you will post the same against the Tigers.

If you had gone to the Match Melvey maybe you did you would have found that the Blues got smashed in the centre clearances that was where the Blues lost the Game.

Hille dominated and where we have been successful in the past matches in sharking there ruck we failed to do

I watched it to just after that, when Gibbs kicked a point.

We're definitely improving. We're 1000% better than last year.

con: Gibbs kicks the goal to put us up by 7 points and we would probably have gone on to win the game. He kicks a point Essendon* rush it down the other end and reclaim the lead.

As verbs says, we're way way better than last year.

CON:

We're still at the frustratingly inconsistent stage.

Yep, tripped over that interview too. He struggled a little last week, too. Not the same player at the moment.

Should he be playing? At least Aussie firing in Ants and Tex and Banno not far off. Really concerned about what I heard him say.

If that's the case then no-brainer. Op for Jammo, play Austin and 1AW when he's ready. We will not be playing finals now anyway after losing today, with our run home and Roos back in town.

CONS

No ruckman = no midfield control

Killed in round 3 by the Scum's rucks, and they did it again.

Kreuzer is a work in progress and hasn't the body strength to go against the likes of Hill, King, Charman...you know, mature strong bodies. He should be used in the ruck sparingly.

Cloke got killed when he started at CHF. Didn't have the pace to control Lovett Murray.

Nevertheless the midfield were outpointed around the ground too.

Why was Waite up against Lloyd? That should have been Setnata's bunny. The move just robbed us of Waite in the forwardline.

We need a big bodied ruckman till Kreuzer and Hampson develop in the next 2 preseasons.

Why was Bentick off the ground for so long?

Disposal was terrible: Murphy and Carrazzo in particular.

WTF happened to Judd today?

WE need a multi prong attack in the forwardline. Fisher should be having shots at goal no more than 30 meters out. That implies FP for him if he's to be a goal kicking forward.

PROS

3. Fev, Simmo and Gibbs

2. Setanta, Murphy, Armfield

1. Waite, Betts, Scotland

Thornton and Jamo did OK too.

I was at the game am a Social club member. Hille was best on ground and we got smashed in the middle. In the first quarter they were all over us and we gave away free kicks cause there pace was shitting the living daylights out of us

Again we hate contested football and wanna play the wings.

As for saying we will get beaten, mate i know we are still shit and slowly becoming a bunch of pretenders because supporters like you and many Carlton supporters manage to talk up players as superstars when there nothing but ordinary footballers.
