Everytime I go to an ATM, I get bent over by the banks.

Every time I go to the petrol station, I get bent over by the oil companies.

Every time I go to the footy and want a pie, I get bent over by spotless and the AFL.

There you go ACCC - three examples of shit you SHOULD be looking at off the top of my head.

I hope he goes nowhere!
Innocent until proven guilty ... if they get a guilty charge, will talk again ... until then Pratty stays and tells all and sundry to GET F**KED.

and then there were four.

Nah, instead they should take a flimsy case through the courts to try and put one of the country's greatest ever philanthropists in jail for a couple of years.

Just on this and other remarks such as Deano's ... the corporate world has always been corrupt in this sense. Just ask one R.Shaw from the AFL and Spotless.

Effin A, Deano. Effin A.

Why can't we just leave Dick exactly where he is?... I'm not out to martyr the whole club, but isn't Swanny driving the bus anyway?

Dick is our beacon of hope but, from an operational perspective, he's got the right people in the right places.

This is my view as well and it will take a lot of unwanted attention away from the Club. we appoint an interim but Pratt still works in the background no different to what he does now.

once the charges have been dealt with then he determine what he wants to do with respect to the presidency.

Given that he could be fined anywhere from $2200 per charge to 12 months in jail, it depends on what end of the spectrum you are looking at to ascertain how serious this really is.

I think Dick's response will tell the story.

If he believes he's got nothing to worry about he will stay on. If he's a bit worried he might stand aside.

He didn't make all that money by being a silly man!

This post is correct. If we were discussing any other club's president, we would expect their president to at least stand aside under the same circumstances.

Considering what Richard Pratt has done for our club over the last fifty years, I will respect whatever decision he makes about the presidency, but I'd be surprised (especially when considering he had the character to hand back his honours) if he didn't voluntarily step aside.

x2.

Though, if he "stands aside" he cannot retain his directorship. You're either a director or not a director. I'm pretty sure it means he must resign, pending outcome of his case.

Hope Anthony Pratt has some some spare time in the next few years 8).

BTW, having buffoon Jack pleading his case is a shocking look for the club. Our PR people should step in here as his integrity is shot in the eyes of the general public.

There is no judge in Australia that will jail Pratt for this. Besides's everything else, he's old and not in the best health.

He must stand down. There's no other course of action to take.

Graeme Samuel is one vindictive man. What did Pratt do to him??

If the Herald Sun and Age were worth the paper they're printed on they should be reporting on how the ACCC is being used to settle old scores.

Agreed.

Someone from the club should be fronting the press, or at the very least, they should be asking Jack to refrain from commenting.
