Just listening to the last 5 minutes of the game again on SEN. Wonderful stuff!

Jars - "They have bloody choked!! Port have choked!"

Love it!

Geez i started listening to the game on SEN and they gave me the shits as I was shitty at the time. Changed it to 3AW and they were as boring as hell, but preferred that cause when you are losing the last thing you want to listen to is yelling. Plus Andrew Jarman gave me the shits.

Geez I heard SEN's call just now for the last 5 minutes and I cried again.

Bloody Fantastic.........
GO BLUEYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so thrilled by this win that I keep sitting here reading thread after thread instead of getting my fat arse moving to do some exercise.... I might have to insult someone so I get banned! :) :)

PRO: I kept chuckling about the result last night and said to my wife: "If only they were a team that had some fans" - She replied "David Koch" and I laughed so hard my sides ached....

They played it during KB's show this morning.

Guess it gave KB five minutes to go do his hair.

Cons: By half time I knew Jordan Russell was finished as a footballer. I was frustrated to the point where I had given up on us for yet another year - obviously still thinking we had made inroads, but our year was effectively over.

Pros: Russell to me finally showed something in the last quarter. It wasn't the tackles or the effort that had gone unnoticed previously but the fact he really couldn't impose himself properly on a contest to have an effect on the outcome. He did it! God only hopes this is an unprecedented effect on him as a footballer in the future.

The difference between Cruise getting picked at 1 and in the 50's was all in the space of a minute. The fumbled, soccered attempt looked the error of a youngster, one about to go into their shell after making a small blunder...yet virtually immediately after to take a pack mark and line up under immense pressure showed the difference between the class he has at 18 and those in our team with far more experience that missed gettable goals in the first three quarters.

Judd was clearly the difference. The fumbles and decision making of others was atrocious in the first three quarters in the wet. How he can pick up the same ball and deliver it under pressure 30 metres on his non-prefered side is truly the difference between a star and superstar. Will someone care to bring in another thread questioning his worth as an unfit player?

Watched the game in a Pub in Brunswick with no sound (thank goodness). The pub slowly filled as the evening wore on, and, unbeknownst to me (slightly distracted, you see...) everyone got sucked into the game. When we won, the place erupted. And then, in a pub in Brunswick, one bloke sung out Da Da Da Da Daaaa...And the whole pub sung the bloody song.

Awesome.

And also, that smashing bump from Wiggins to Judd's opponent in the last. Wiggo stopped, checked himself, and smashed Judds' tag. And you could see Judd immediately scoot off to get in a better position. That's team football. They replayed it a bunch of times, presumably to try and wring some controversy out of it, but it was a great thing to see.

3 quarters of poor decision making and disposal, 3 quarters of limited impact from too many players. If the MC are serious they would of seen that and will make the right calls this week.

Bluechampion were you at Bridie's in Brunswick? We ended up there after rocking up to a closed Social Club?????? We belted out the song!

180 degree turn??? Well to have a career-high 14 possessions in your fourth year whilst holding out players like Brown and Armfield until injuries made otherwise is hardly flattering stats on a team that plays possession football. I wanted to see him impose himself, not just have the odd good piece of play - he's in his fourth year for God's sake...well I saw it last night, I saw it in the 4th, I saw him not just get into the odd piece of play but I saw him IMPOSE HIMSELF ON THE CONTEST and have a bearing on the result. Well done JR. He needs to kick on now and turn the corner, there's players coming back from injury and someone's going to be getting the phone call.

And who should the MC drop?.......that'll do heaps for the team's morale.

Pro: The win, The K man, Murphy and Gibbs.

Con: Obviously the first 2 and a half quarters. Special mention to D.Russells commentary. After a Rodan goal he said his skill 'brought tears to his eyes', I hope he was balling at the end of the match.
