I'm glad we got a win. I hope this is the kickstart the team need and not more tease. I don't expect them to win each week with the young list,but it would be great if we make big steps.

I know at the end of the tunnel if we not ready,we probably 1 more draft,some might say 2 of finding a few young players but i rather see guys like Asaike,Benjamin,Hartlett,Austin,Edwards,Hampson,Anderson,Browne all make it so we don't need the extra pick and get a pick in the top 10.

Let's face it there were doubts about ratten early on. Just shows to what extent we have let things get out of hand ".......5 years outta hand

Ironic the issue then was too much focus on contested ball and not enough outside run. Fair to see he has over compensated?

Grant Thomas said tonight on FC that Carlton made a mistake hiring Ratts as coach as he is a perfect assistant / development coach.

No actually, the issue is the same. If you look at last weeks game we didn't lose clearances or contests by much. Our disposal accuracy and meters gained are the problem

Ted Hopkins- says meters gained is the most underated statistic in the comp
Leigh Mathews- says winning contested ball is the most over rated statistic in the comp
Jason Dunstall/David King- Release of the ball to a forward within 70 meters of goal is key to forward efficiency (Carlton is in the bottom 3 or 4 here).

Point is Ratten is not up the views expressed by the 4 people above. The signs were there some years ago
