It depends on the strength of the club doesnt it.
The kind of balls a club has to make things happen for itself and not take the soft and obvious options.

Would this be an easy option  I don't think so. This is what we've been looking for for years. We finally take the hard line and you bag us for having the balls to act :? Give me a break!

You sound like the collingwood goons who defend Didak....shameful.

I'm not sure that I understand your point.

Is the club taking the soft and obvious option by suspending Fev or not taking the soft and obvious option by suspending Fev?

Not really sure what to make of all of this . . .

I don't see how we can either applaud or condemn the club seeing as none of us really have a grasp on what Fev has or hasn't done.

Was it simply based on on-field behaviour or has Fev been up to some dodgy off-field antics?

finally the club has put their foot down with Fev. Fev is a champion there is no doubt about it. But his additude is discraceful on the field and it shows teams such as collingwood how to dicipline players.

What has Fev giving away an 100 meter penalty got in common with didaks alleged drug and sex orgy with bikers???

Youre silly....

Listen its not what the club needs.

Cos its public and if you want to trade him everyone knows you dont think alot about him so noone will give you a premium...

Thats how sales works

It was Fev that cost Carlton to lose by 100 and 80pts the last two weeks

It wasnt the shit coaching of Pagan. Now hes switching the attention from him to Fev.

What a joke. And I got so excited there for 20 mins. Best I'd felt for years.

One of the saddest days for the CFC. We are now definitely the AFL laughing stock.

The only reason Fev is in trouble, is 'cause he wears his hart on his sleeve. He's simply saying "Dennis, I'm not putting up with your sh$% any more".

Loved DPs comment after the game on Satdy re watching the Ants and getting some pace into the side. Hard to watch the Ants from the G, Dennis !!. Ah well, he'll have to read Bazza's email report to see if there was any pacy types in our 80 point thumping.

That along with the fact that only Wiggo and Young turned out to watch from the playing group and only Ratten from the coaching staff (unless someone spotted any others??). Pretty sad sight it was all round for those of us at Casey yesterday.

So basically we organise a press conference to say we are dropping the best full forward in the league/current goalkicking champion/almost winning it this year player & it's even suggested he may not play again for the blues  On a downward slide against a team which has been unlucky lately, coming off 2 hammerings/bullants hammerings so no players really pushing the likes of Ackland... GOD we really need fev gone. Reckon another spoon is a good possibilty

Sydney wouldn't expect this kind of behavior on the field why should we.

As a young leader Gibbs told the club after the Lance and Scotland incident I didn't come to this club for this shit.

If you think it's about 2 x 50m penalties you're the one who is clueless. It's about a string of issues dating back to the day he walked in the @#$%&! door.

We've given the competition 4 months to decide if they want Fevola at their club. In the end we decide if/where he goes. I think it's a great move.

Just listened to the press conference. DP was quite conciliatory, but swannie was short and sharp. I get the feeling that this was not DP's decision

The board isn't stupid, if the players are unhappy with Pagan they'll know about it. But what needs to happen is Pratt, Swann or Icke needs to sit down with each Carlton player and talk to them about how they're feeling at the moment about how things are going and what they think can be done to improve them. The answers should be held in strictest confidentiality, so the player(s) feel no need to sugarcoat anything and can be 100% honest. And then if the majority says they would prefer changes to be made, then they should be listened to.

And I may not have much time for Mike Sheehan, but geez he must be freaking psychic

Hey Synners, it doesn't matter that other clubs know what we think about Fev. EVERY club knows what Fev can do. It's a case of "do they want his goal kicking ability or not?". His premium will always be there. He has proven himself. It's just whether the other clubs wanna take a punt on him. And if they do, they have to pay the premium. We can't hide his negatives, it's there for all to see. It's take it or leave it.

What a monumental f-up from the club.

I'm all for being very tough on the players in terms of trading, discipline etc. all things that benefit the CLUB must be done no matter what. If however the suspension was for the two 50M penalties (and nothing else) then it just does not make sense, he would have to be suspended every few weeks for the rest of his career if that is the case. Are they going to suspend Thornton for throwing his head back and mouthing off at team-mates when his opponent takes a mark on a lead?

If they want to trade him just make up an injury and get working in the background.

Doing it this way just tells the other clubs we are desperate and turns it into a buyers market, they will all lower their offers.

It is laughable... suspending our best player so that the likes of Wiggins and co. can provide leadership.

"He has been told to go away and have a think about his role at the club and his role in the team and we will touch base with him next week," Swann said.

mmm..... ok my role is to solve all of Carlton's problems. I will touch base with you once i can achieve this for you, Greg.

Patsy
John F Kennedy
and
Lee Harvard Oswald.

deflecting blame...what a JOKE..................

Like so many others when I heard Swann and Pagan were holding a press conference I was excited that it was going to be an announcement that Pagan had resigned or been sacked.

So it's Fev suspended for a week and may never play for Carlton again. What a dismal scenario.

I'm expecting a 10 goal thrashing against Melbourne this week, which may just be good enough to see the end of Pagan at Carlton.

It was a pathetic call on Pagan's behalf to attend Archer's 300th game rather than watch the Northen Bullants play in a week when we need new blood into the team. This decision really shows where Pagan's head is at and smacks of arrogance and a lack of responsibility.

Hopefully we will see Fev back in a week.

A HUGE flower light has been turned on down at Princes Park today.

This is more important than any of you "pretenders" who know what is going on at the club will ever believe or know.

There is finally some bloody light at the end of the tunnel.

One down!!!
