I am interested to see how Luke Blackwell would go as lead up small forward? Isn't he more of a midfield type?

You see then we put Simmo, or Gibbs, or someone else as that medium forward.

Maybe even Carrazzo, he played the role last night.

Or even Betts - played the role beautifully against the Kangaroos. Though, might take away from his crumbing potential, which I'm really hoping to see develop this year with the way our forwards are splitting packs. Big thing to notice from last night is that our forwards, when contesting, never once were outmarked. At the very least, the ball came to ground. Eddie just needs to get himself there to swoop.

It's the Ryan O'Keefe or even the Chris Tarrant role.

In Wiggo's 13 games last season he averaged 7.4 marks a game.

It's not a role that Eddie Betts can play IMO.

Also Wiggins has had an interrupted pre-season. Give him a couple of games to get his feet.

I agree.
A fearless player may be a valuable pinch hitter in a very good team in finals footy. We aren't a very good team and wiggins isnt much of a goal scorer. Both would need to change for him to be invaluable

Any player who can't kick ins't going to be in our best 22 or anyone elses. I hope that he can improve that area of his game because his hardness and contest for the ball will make him invaluable going forward. Carrots was a pretty crap kick for goal early last year, but Fev took him under his wing and helped teach him proper technique, I hope that Wiggo can show the same improvement that Carrots has.

One good game against West Coast and he's a specialist small medium sized forward? He isn't even half the player Digby Morrell was! OK he tries hard and gives it his all but that just proves even more that he'll never be up to it.

If Wiggins can get 7/20 against England at the World Cup, then he can be mentioned in the same breath as Bichel.

I must admit I was shattered to see Wiggo in the final 22.

Second or 3rd quater when we were under a bit of pressure Wiggo marked the ball on the wing.

" Pls kick this to a Carlton player. Wiggo Pls " was a yell in the crowd.

What did he do.... kicked it straight to Richmond. Turnover king... goofball.

Wiggo should go the way of our 1st round picks of that draft the he came from.......

 Two games mention and TWO WINS!

Look, good on Wiggo for showing persistence. Pago obviously needs him as a barometer for hard work and also needs to show that it will get rewarded, but sooner or later there will be no room for passengers. Unless you are going to be at every contest, hardness and willingness without skill or athletic ability doesn't count for a whole lot.

Wiggins was good, but one thing stuck in my mind about his performance after the game : His disposal, absoloutely shocking and not AFL standards.... he turned the ball no less than 4 times, thats when i stoped counting.....he just cant hit a target more than 20m in front of him....

his efforts in the last Quarter was first Class, the chasing and tackling, but he does need to get his kicking right to remain in the 22

2 clangers according to the stats. Fevola had 8. Shall we drop him?

Wiggos decision making is shit and will always be shit. Even as recent as last year he was in our best 22 . Not any more. I would play Blackwell this week to boost the midfield but if you want a small forward replacement there is Edwards who is ready to play seniors and is ahead of Wiggo. His left foot kick to Fevola late in the third typifies his problem. His decision making skills are pathetic.

Put it simply Wiggo isnt in our best 22

probably not.
some teams are lacking muscle.
some might be lured in a packaged deal. wiggins has alot to offer, but it's not his skills side. he's a very good mark....absolutely fearless.

Wiggins is a good VFL player and not a AFL player. Soon he will not be getting a game.

With Grigg, Bower, Blackwell, Hartlett all pushing hard for selection, who would you drop? Wiggins is the answer.

He consistently makes skill errors (I never seen someone have the ball smothered so many times!) and is terrible under pressure. I like his intensity but that doesn't cut it when your playing AFL.

Wiggins will not be getting from now on I would think unless we have injuires and if he is then we will most likely finish bottom 2
