That's what I was thinking whilst watching a news report on this 18 year old girl who was kidnapped when she was ten and only escaped recently.

Now she's got something to complain about.

BTW nothing about the Carlton "crisis" on the ABC News in Brisbane.

I wonder if she was happily surprised to see her footy team had won a premiership or two while she was stuck in the dungeon?

I hope she's not a Lions supporter.

There was no offical mention of Silvagni at all, as far as I'm aware, so one has to question why the media were so certain about it. One suspects there has to be something in it, but I can't help but feel we're only getting told part of the story here...something smells iffy.

if she was a Carlton fan would she be unhappy? Perhaps someone would have said no premierships, some wooden spoons but the whole competition has been taken over by interstate teams and the Victorian clubs are non-entities?

Let me get this right .Their has been no confirmation from the club that sos is Pagans new assistant. So we are taking the word of the media and running with it as being fact. Oh boy and we say the board is incompetent.Correct me if i am wrong please.

I think I mentioned earlier this year that our biggest crisis was yet to come.

This will indeed get worse and it will be arguably be worse than Black Friday.

The dramas surrounding our club are certainly not over yet.

However the troubles come to a head fairly quickly and this will be the last major crisis before a sustained period period of stability and rebiulding commences..

The darkest time is always before the dawn.

Dont reallt know what you're talking about Blueman- if you call a potential board spill a crisis then, yeah, I guess you're on the money...

I dont understand the SOS situation at all- methinks he got cold feet at the constant quesitoning of his motives as assistant, and perhaps bailed because of it?

I think an interestign sub-sub-sub plot to all of this is the glaring divide between our full back of the century and our Centre Half Forward of the century...

The environment is one where a leader with a vision and direction and moneycan put a broom through the club and start again.. its almost like were calling out for it at the moment..

Josh,

Thanks for the update greatly appreciated. As far as the SOS situation I think the media put him, Pagan, and the club in a no win position by stating that SOS was coming in as an assistant on the promise that he would take over from Dennis in 2 years or sooner.

I have been strongly aware since 2001 that along with a large number of preceding tumultuous events that have surrounded Carlton, we have an old coach that leaves in controversial circumstances and a new young coach that replaces him.

Be assured that many of the building blocks for our future success have already been put into place but by no means yet realised through the actions of the older coach.

This will become clear fairly soon when Carlton shows a dramatic and unexpected on field improvement early in the tenure of the new coach, quite possibly in his first season.

There will be a very pronounced improvement towards the end of an early season of the new coach that will greatly please many faithful Carlton supporters but will irritate, annoy and upset the supporters of other clubs.

At that time, a very strong positive aura fully replaces the current confusion and negativity that is engulfing Carlton..

It is futile to fight the current troubles, all that can be done is to ride it out and endure it, as painful as it will be until it finally dissapates.

(however if something like a board challenge comes - by all means use your membership rights to effect positive change.)

It is a bit like when a very heavy fog finally clears away.. we all know it will clear, but we dont know exactly when that will happen, but for now we are pretty much stuck and have to sit tight.

However dont lose faith and hold on to the sure promise that the bad will times will soon pass and although it will not be immediately apparent, far better football times will follow.

As is always the case when we are fortunate enough to be given insights that extend beyond the our current world line, the exact timing of events is never provided.

However it is clear to me that we are in the final stages of our time of great crisis.

Did you know that could have been Kenny Hunter's surname? He should have been Ken Brennan when his Mum remarried but he kept Hunter as a child.

The way we're going, your dream would signal that Michael is coming out of retirement.
