we ask pagan to be pumping up the club but our incompetent board sit back and show total incompetence when they should be leading by example. Thet are the ones who should be talking up cfc and everyone should follow but are they leading the way???? NO!! and we expect Pagan to do so.

Diggins claims that our poor on field performance cost us 1 mill in memberships but the real reason is that we as members are not signing becuase we do not trust the current board with our money.

If Trout stays then the whole thing has been a joke! If they are going to force Denis out of his current approach then TE has to go!

The saddest day in the last 5 years of the Carlton Football Club.

Really.

Worse than the draft pick debacle on Black Friday.

Why? Because a group of supposedly bold and brash businessmen didn't have the balls to get rid of arguably the worst coach in the last 30 years of the Carlton Football Club.

With Pagan staying, Kernahan and Mitchell will have to resign. That's not a bad thing in and of itself but it will be no fun watching us play with no structure.

How BLOODY OBVIOUS does it have to be to observe a team playing with NO GAME PLAN, NO STRUCTURE, NO IDEA!!!!!???????

At least the picks are safe for next year.

Not only is it sad that a majority (if the figures at the HUN and SEN are correct) of supporters don't see it but neither do supposedly savvy businessmen who will wonder why the membership has dropped to 20,000 next year.

I'm seriously considering not renewing my membership. Call me disloyal, but I cannot support such inept, timid rubbish from the CFC Board. There was never been less testosterone at Princes Park for 130 years.

I wonder what the players really think? Why haven't they come out to give Pagan support? It would be a good way to suck up to the coach and so on. Only Fev has done that. Damning indictment IMO.

Pathetic. Carlton = the new Fitzroy

someone just rang SEN and mentioned TalkingCarlton and said how a lot of people on this site were anti-pagan.

At least they can run a club professionally....

I'll stay loyal to the Blues. But whether I remain a member...I dunno. It breaks my heart to think I don't want to be a member in order to protest.

He might be staying but surely his situation is something approaching that of untenable and he would've just resigned himself...I understand that you wouldn't want to forgo $1.2m or whatever it is but surely some sort of settlement could have been arranged, Denis walks on his own accord and we all just move on...

Feel a bit the same way, Clem, but when it comes down to it, I love the club too much to turn away. That's why it hurts so much.

Tissue, anyone???

That's what footy clubs are all about Clem: breaking hearts and bringing joy in often unequal measures.

Whatever.

Interesting that BM did a presentation to the Board today, maybe he did not impress and so the Board lost its desire to replace Pagan with Barry...

Oh yeah, I just saw them all on ABC news ..... what an inspiring sight ...

I think I saw Lauraine with a list of players who had worn the no 5 jumper ....

ANd they really all looked 110% behind Denis ...
