..that doesn't neccessarily mean they have more room [though they might somehow??!!], but that they're willing to offer him more than us..

Players at Collingwood will be let go.. traded.. that was MM team... this will be Buckleys team...
A guy who has been coach for 12 years had totally created a list to suit what he wants to do....

..not sure how much longer Jolly is going to last, they have no real young rucks of quality coming through, aside from sub-par Wood [be he pick 14] and long-shot project types.. ..cos of big bucks spent on Cloke, may lose a player or two, then in turn chasing Lynch..?.. ..strange decisions

Maybe Bucks comes from the same drafting school as Vossy.

Garlett is being shopped around. Not sure how serious we are yet but he is being shopped.

The clause in Tippett's contract has us very interested.

Caddy is our main target and we're going all out to get him.

Early doors of course and still a lot to play out.

trading garlett is a complete joke

Young kid who will kick 30 to 50 goals and applies amazing defensive pressure

These small Forwards are as rare as hens teeth

Wtf

Malthouse said today that we will have minimal changes through the FA/Trade period

Take this with a grain of salt, but a well connected person just told me that:

"Carlton has made a massive and 'successful' play for Kurt Tippet. Not a done deal but 'highly likely' ".

Apparently it will come out tomorrow.

Obviously we'd have to trade with Adelaide, but there it is...

I'll take it with 5 grains of salt  , and assume that Caro's rumour of the trade clause in Tippett's contract is correct (ie can be traded to the club of his choice for second and third rounder)

It is not silly at all to swap Garlett, he was very inconsistent in 2012.

Best teams have forward lines with 2 talls, 2 mediums and 2 smalls.

You can find the small e.g Saad went from Bullants to St. Kilda.

Impossible to find, ready-to-go talls.

I would have given just about everything to get Cloke, almost as much to get Tippett.

Levi worked for a few weeks, but he isnt there yet. He isnt a star in the VFL, just a handy type.

Dont forget it took Kernahan from 1981 - 1985, 136 games and 290 goals, plus all Australian honours and he arrived in the VFL and it took still 12 months for him to really star.

So there is no way to fast track a player of this type, you either get lucky in the draft (and steal) Buddy or you trade one in.

As a club we dont have the time time develop a CHF/ FF while we have the elite midfield of Kruezer, Judd, Murphy.

We need to buy in something that is ready to go now.

Don't want Tippet. Don't want to trade Garlett and think he will flourish under Malthouse. Not fussed about Lynch but would prefer to develop Mitchell and McCarthy. Would prefer Caddy.

I want Garlett to stay, what sort of shithouse club are we to trade him after a below par season (2011 being his standard).

How old were you in 1986? Sticks was a star from day dot in SANFL and would have come over years earlier if Glenelg had won a flag before 1985.
