i agree brock and carrots are cooked
but graham wouldnt run a game out of afl for 110 minutes and that would pressure the rest of the players in the team
he is sub because he cant play the game for the duration
same as menzel was and we know he cant either
imagine menzel and graham in the side at the same time

I know you comment on alot of things that you might know about, but suggesting Graham couldn't play the game because of fitness is just wrong.

He is one of the fittest at the club.

Talk about what you think you know, not what you are taking a wild stab at.

I am so excited to hear ML's first words as Carlton president.

When will the great man speak ladies and gentlemen?

Why do y'all want to hear him speak??? Its none of our business. It's not like we're on the board or something. Just pay yer money, rock up (or not) and STFU.

..how about a game of charades....?.. ....would be entertaining to see him mime our current state of affairs....

more than hearing him speak, I would like him to mime his future and vision for our great club to us. preferably wearing white cotton gloves and a clown's nose.

It would act to legitimise his reign after the previous circus.

Haha very good

It seems the article has been taken down for now. I'm sure it will be up later - it' for tomorrow's paper.

He said the aim was never to get rid of Rogers but get better resources around him. Rogers won't be leaving. Mark is very focused on improving our 'under-resourced development' and recruiting programs. Determined to fix on field as well as off - and knows that to do so we need to fix our recruiting and developing of players. Told Mathieson not to air his issues in public - call him if he needs to.

And made no apology for approaching Wright - we identified an area of weakness and are targeting the best to fix it.

Someone posted some bits on BF before the article disappeared ;)

Quote:
"I make absolutely no apologies for trying to make the Carlton Football Club better," LoGiudice said of his $2.5 million offer to Wright.

"We have no intentions of stopping in trying to make us the best football club with the best people.

"I understand there is no quick fix. The system doesn't allow for that, [but] we are a great club, one of the leaders of the AFL, and we need to go from being a good club which we are at the moment to an outstanding club. We are prepared to pay what the market demands.''

"It's very disappointing the way it was conveyed," he said. "I have spoken to Shane [Rogers] about this. The plan is not for Shane to leave but to work in a better resourced recruiting department.

"We need to improve the recruitment and the development of our players. I definitely think it's an area in which we've been under-resourced."

"Andy McKay is a great leader of this football club and he will be staying at this football club."
