i just feel its a team that can win.. have left out players such as grigg, carrazzo, houlihan, warnock, jacobs, robinson, gartlett, hadley, and browne.. all of whom can and will most likely see senior football in 2010..

i just see this side as a team which can match up with size, speed and versatility..
examples:
austin play both fwd/back, tall/small
waite play both fwd/back/wing
scotland and armfield can both push into midfield
hammer can play both fwd and ruck.. i know people doubt his marking and skills, yet he is young, learning.. give him this year to shine.. his speed and athletisim up fwd will kill opposition.
resting kreuzer up fwd..
russel rotating through middle and half fwd/back..
joseph taking dangerous opposition small fwd, tagging midfield role
hopefully betts and yarrans fitness improves and rotate though middle with murphey/gibbs/juddy resting up fwd (more time those three on ground = greater benefits)

And what exactly will Chris Johnson be doing in the side?

well considering fitness and injury free and form (watching past demons game, can be damaging player).. johnson can provide run and carry, can play on small/medium fwds.. although we have plenty players that can do that, his kicking skills are valuable and will be useful for our kick-ins and clearing ball out of defence.. hes a level headed player.. sure he had bad games last year, but was interrupted with injury and struggled with finding form.. hopefully he gets a good preseason under his belt and is available for nab cup and finds form.. he will be a useful player for us..

I think at times Chris Johnson can be an excellent kick of the footy, but is ''really not good'' at winning any kind of contest. Whether that it be in the air, on the ground, or handcuffed to another player on a boat.

In short, I don't have room for a kick-in specialist in my best 22.

And if I did I'd pick O'Keeffe.

Maybe a move up the ground is on the cards for Chris Johnson. But you're right, i to would like to see ROK or Davies given an opportunity (if ready) before Johnson.

ROK excites me.

Could be anything!!

Exactly what we need more of.

Tough, aggressive with a left boot to die for.

Would love to see him get a go this year.

Show em what your made of ROKstar

Needs a consistent 12 months on the training track before he can play senior footy. Will get a good run in the Bullants if he's not on the injury list.

..i reckon Johnson's better suited to the wing, his kicking skills aren't consistent when udner pressure, he's not a real defender either in my opinion.. ..we've got better options down back before using him there..

If we're relying on Scotland and Yarran to fill CHB and CHF Blueblood, we're in a lot of trouble.

IMO, Scotland has a very important role to play this year. He is without doubt in our starting 22, is tough and hard, can carry the ball, and is a beautiful kick. Running off a HBF, he will play a key role

Strange line up 2345678.

Certainly not top heavy.

I just can't see Scotland on Jonathon Brown, or a lesser like such as Mooney. Yarran to be a leading CHF..that's OK. Can he take a pack mark or spoil in a pack. If not, you may as well just give the ball to the CHB.

I'm assuming that's your starting team for the first 5 mins and then TBird moves to CHB and Setanta takes CHF, and we pray there is no tall ruck sized opposition player taking their FP role.

You obviously don't rate Bower.

I agree he has a beautiful kicking action but I find he kicks too many up and unders. I think his " action " makes him appear a better kick than he actually is. Much like Setants but in the opposite way. Setants looks as unco as they come and is generally pasted for his disposals...but take a closer look and he's actually a pretty accurate kick.

Getting tougher to put this together. McLean's next two outings will be crucial, line ball Hadley and McLean. I'd love to see Andy Walker in the guts with a license to run and run, forward and back. Has the engine to do it and tough as well. Maybe it's AW befroe Robbo. Joseph is must in the 22.

Welcome to TC RDW, a great effort.

Take out McLean for Hadley and put Walks in the starting 18 (possibly at Scotland's expense) and you've just about nailed it for me. If it means having to displace the likes of Hadley, Scotto or Carrots, I'd say Brock has a way to go to be in the 22, hope I'm proved wrong.
