Holy Cow... Just read Mircov is out for the season with a leaking heart valve (getting surgery)...

Good luck to the guy.... Yeesh...

Go Blues

and he was improving a lot against that backdrop

No he wasn’t. He still couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a boat.

A leaky valve is as good a reason as any for him to give it away. Spare the club from the having to carry him another 12 months. He’ll be well looked after medically & there are plenty of jobs at the club for someone with his background.

Shit!!

Collision less than a minute from the final siren

He was a stand out and clearly an AFL footballer.

Sad for him, and Carlton.

I know hDow's shorttfalls, but yesterday he was the real deal.

I was kinda enjoying not having this thread front and centre on the main page for quite a while.

Oh well, it was fun whilst it lasted.

He might be a dubious kick but he is vital to our structure and a fine player generally, so the health of his knee especially now is a major topic I'[d have thought.

Absolutely he is - I was referring to the fact that we haven't had to worry about major injuries to key players for a while, hence why I was happy for the thread to be missing from the main page.

I think you must have misunderstood what I was saying?

Didn't they say last night that it was not an ACL and likely either meniscus or bone-bruising?
So not a year out, most likely 4wks (+/-2wks) depending on which and the severity.
Of course, having heard nothing further... now I'm starting to worry!

No I understood totally, and I wasn't trying to have a shot at you.

I just came to see if there was any new on Harry.

But wanted to comment on the big guy while I was here. Being a TV watcher I dont get to see all the work H does up and down the ground, but when it is highlighted in the odd replay I marvel at his ability to cover the ground. His marks on the wing are pretty important to us as well.

I have prayed to all the gods, the old and the new, that it is a simple 4 week injury. We will need him for the finals :)

They mentioned a stat I think last week that Harry is no.1 in the AFL for marks on the lead (presumably IF50).

His aerial work is arguably more important than his goal kicking to be frank.

Still no news. I am hoping it is bone bruising and he could be back in 1.

News.com.au have a video saying McKay suspected of meniscus.
Pretty sure that (speculation/guesswork) doesn't meet the criteria for news.
Journalism at its worst.

Exactly. There's literally no point speculating until we hear official word from the club on the scan results.

No idea why it's taking so damn long but it's annoying
