Article in The Age was spot on. Ratten brought us back from the depths of dispair and 3 wooden spoons. We made the finals 3 out of the 5 years and we were devastated by injuries in the last. In typical knee jerk reaction mode we appointed an overrated coach who had one really good coaching stint at west coast who had some unbelievably good players. He was a disaster at the Bulldogs and it took him 10 years to win a premiership with a really great list at Collingwood. He wont play one of our best backman in Laidler ... he wont play our kids ... he has made some horrendous coaching decisions ... has made some outstandingly poor choices with match selection .. . has been heavily criticized by our greatest coach David Parkin not to mention Robert Walls and others. The whole exercise has been a complete catastrophe and so here we are ... about to start a rebuild.

As a Carlton supporter of 45 year I am sick to guts with what has happened ... and still people continue to defend the selection of the super duper coach. Yep ... The Age has it spot on.

The only possitive for me is that I am overseas for one more week.

I wait in anticipation for the next crazy move instigated by MM and the once might Blues.

As crazy as wasting 2008 and 2009 on having Fev and Judd fix everything for us...great forward planning
As crazy as jerking himself off over getting Warnock to Carlton
As crazy as paying overs for Brock and then virtually consigning him to the scrap bin for two years
As crazy as never dropping Jeff last year, when his form was poor week in week out
As crazy as losing to NM, StK, GC and WB regularly
As crazy as subbing Collins the week after his best game against the Cats, then drops him the week after
As crazy as being the overseer of our worst recruitment period in the history of the CFC

And let's not forget giving away Jacobs and Grigg for peanuts and overlooking Darling for Watson.

We got Laidler for Jacobs
Collins for Grigg
Watson instead of Darling
Juddy for Kennedy/ pick 3 and 20
McLean for 11
Warnock for 21

Plus a stack of duds with picks under 35

and almost Bradshaw ad Rischitelli for Fev
