Perhaps you should do a straw poll of the number of people that have peed on a shop front as a business was trading and in full view of customers and staff...

it was a night club at 4am lets not get carried away or nothing

Fevola is a really bad player.

Actually I had been looking at Fevola's career stats tonight, and I may post it up here tomorrow.

Big jump in performance from 50 games onwards, and from 100 games onwards his moving five game average has rarely been below 2 and has moved constantly between 2 and 5.

Career average is heading in one direction only...skywards, approaching 3.

Overall career performance is what you'd expect, improving year by year.

Unfortunately for some reason he hasn't been a lead-mark-kick full-forward, always being expected to chase, tackle run up the ground etc.

I reckon if he'd been allowed to play the Dunstall/Lockett role by Pagan he would've cracked 100 at least once by now.

Regardless, the bombing the ball into the forward line MO we have employed for years meant the role of a standard full-forward was really quite incidental.

Hope that changes this year.

So he only needs 119 goals against the tigers to be as productive as Lloyd. Well we have Judd in the middle now so anything is possible.

Wasn't there a poster on here at one stage that used to compare Fev with Lloyd? It never seemed that the difference was so great, so these stats come as a bit of a surprise to me...

Which of you own businesses that involve the public? Who owns a cafe or a bar? Who of you have worked 15 hours a day, 7 days a week to build it clientele from scratch? What's the busiest time for you? We could get a group together to come around and piss on your window in the view of your customers, and when you run out after seeing the commotion we'll man handle and humilate you in full view of your customers. Maybe we'll dress stereotypical of a minority so we'll be easily recognisable and then those that witness the behaviour can say "typical of those .........!" Surely that will make you look fantastic whilst building the reputation of those involved.

How flower hard is it to unzip your fly and at worst piss in an alley. If that were the case and Fev was caught, I'd laugh it off and think what a flower, but could never deny doing it myself!

Sorry Miss, it's indictment.

But let me know when your premises is up and running and I'll come around with a few of the boys and leave a steaming hot grogan in your entrance.

in all this the thing I find interesting is that people are amazed this has gone to 36 pages. of course it has. that's Fev to a tee.

There are supernovas like Judd, like Carey and Matthews and Hart and big Nick and Jezza

and then there are the black holes

Ablett was one for mine and why he is not in my top 5 players.

Lockett another and why Dunstal was the better player (though I'd have Hudson before both).

I think Fev is a third. I think he is glorious in full flight but he sucks the light out of the side. He cannot help it. Its a need thing. It is why I agree with Parko and it is why you get 36 pages. Fev stirs the flames, pulls the focus, draws the eye.

is that a good thing in a team sport?

That's only a construct of reality created in your own individual mind. You have complete control over how you construct your mindset, and if you choose to employ negative thought processes as part of a mechanism to identify your own postition in this world, then you really don't have much scope for complaining.

As I said from the very start, the incident only upsets you as much as you let it upset you.

Fev was really only a bit part player in his first 3 seasons.. He spent a large percentage of games on the pine as I recall... C'mon, you cant compare Capper to Fev... 'The Wiz' kicked about 200 of his goals over a two season period in 86-87 but didnt do much after that....

He also had a couple of handy mid-field players (Diesel  ) getting it down to him laces out.

Fortunately for Capper the hands in the back rule wasn't quite the same back then either.

As has been said, Capper had two really good years and a lot of ordinary ones. Comparing Fevola with Richardson is quite an interesting thing though:

Image

The yellow column represents when Richo peaked. The red arrows give an indication as to the overall trend thereafter. Richo levelled a little after that and slowly began his decline.

Fevola on the other hand is still on the way up.

Impressive use of the graph there Verbs ( I love a good graph)- but you are assumming Fevola's output is going to increase- based on the 06 -07 he has already peeked and is on the way down

I do not know if this has already been mentioned but I understand that the nightclub in question is a well known gay hangout - so maybe Fev was just ‘showing a bit’ of subliminal disdain and at the same time giving the boys a thrill???

2 THINGS

a) the incident didn't upset me. None of this has, I place it on a par with libba - just media stuff that keeps them employed. What I do find interesting is that for something so small you've responded as much as anyone - why is that? And that I find interesting.

b) and what you are going on about isn't a construct? (you will agree it is, I know, but I just wanted to clarify that because it isn't stated in your comment and really should be). At least mine's from direct observation and contact (yours is from - what exactly - your world view? The grapg - is that a contruct or rality? Is he going up or down? Will that grapg affect the year he is about to have?). As for negative, no its not negative. Its observational. In the end what happens, happens but, like you, I enjoy having an opinion, it passes time while we wait for what happens to happen (or not).

and c) hey I like metaphors - nothing to do with reality...or maybe....

And Fevolution, you always try to make it sound as if it's us against Fev, and that we must all make excuses for him and blindly agree with everything he does. This isn't the case. The reason people get shitty with him is because they put their faith in him, support him and stand up for him, and when he does shit like this he lets them down. That's why people get pissed off.

Thanks Punter

But I wasn't directing my comments to Donstuie.

Trawling through this thread highlights many people who do in fact want him gone and many who are wanting him to fail - it is these people to whom I was directing my comments.

Donstuie's comments are fair and reasonable and I respect them.

The reason I thought it was worth quoting is that as Donstuie said - for me it isn't an either/or porposition.

I seriously doubt there is one person on this board whose first option wouldn't be Fev with his head screwed on properly, playing great team football and driving the team towards the ultimate success.

Cheers Punter

Perhpas you should read a few of Sydney Blue's posts

Make that two. Have been wasting my time for 12 @#$%&! years now! Shit I love being able to be proven right...again..and again...and again.. in regards to this buffoon
