We've covered this though: Neil helps all the football-related departments gel. I don't think there's anyone better qualified for such a task in this country.

They've streamlined the conditioning, high performance, medical and physio stuff so that there's 2 coordinators between all that, then they have the Sports Science guy and the Tech/IT guys with their own coordinators, and Neil would be their first point of contact when it comes to developing a program or applying a technology to existing processes.

So you can see Craig as some sort of secret kingpin, or the sporting equivalent of a CTO/CSO, though still answering to McKay and Trigg.
