So in order to reach their target, the club had to buy memberships for people? Is this the case or am I misreading the situation?

Truly embarrassing if that's the case.

For 3 people you'd already bought memberships for, or just didn't renew?

Wonder if they've bothered to revoke the voting rights on these memberships/clarify it against the club constitution? Be funny if the unlikely event of an EGM being called, and the current board get voted out on the weight of gifted memberships.

no this is on top of ones i had paid for , its 3 additional i had bought for others previously.

they aren't 3 game memberships either Doc (though they also aren't full 11 game ones either - so no voting rights anyway)

its actually very smart -

I had to buy an additional one today to add to the 3 free ones so i can give the family a full compliment (new addition)

So there is the 3 the club paid for and 1 extra I paid for that I wouldnt have bought otherwise !

Please clarify for me:

Regarding just the membership tally (and not voting rights), a 3 game membership = an 11 game membership? That is, each qualifies as one membership?

If so, why? Why wouldn't the former just count as a fraction (3/11) of a 'full' membership?

Interstate membership is obviously its own kettle of fish.

The Tigers are already pre-selling 2014 memberships.

What do you think?
Any merit in this idea? Bringing forward cashflow?
or will it just overly complicate things?

Three times this year I've been told to upgrade my Captains Club GA for our big home games to the supposed Captains Club bays. That's on top of the $500 or so for the membership. Three times I've done so and had opposition supporters sitting next to me. Bit annoying.
