There is no taking down. We wouldn't be debating if we ALL were'nt devoted to our club.

Hey Choo,

I agree, we are devoted otherwise we wouldn't be on here, however, because of Synbad's style, persistence & sometimes out of left field views he unfairly cops a pasting & polarises people.

He clearly has staunch views on how to achieve success & he also has contacts who know what's going on, perhaps some people should filter through the words, style etc and read the essence of his message.

Cheers

Really? So what is the message that some have to offer?
What would some of the readers have to take out of what is presented here by some of the more "devout" and "forthright" followers?

Certainly not a message that would be favorable for the CFC by way of attracting additional members etc.
So how exactly do those people think that they progress the cause of the CFC by way of constant bitching?

A pretty selfish agenda when it's all said and done, but I doubt that they'd be bold enough to put their hand up to becoming part of the solution and not the problem.

Thank-you, point proven!

I commenced by proposing that we are all devoted. Whereas you read my message as saying there are some posters who are "more devout & forthright followers" than others.

Synbad's a big boy & can defend himself I'm sure, I was simply saying people should cut through the style and listen to the message.

Without opposing views TC would shut up shop or become one big love in of self congratulation. Also, we could all sit around and praise the CFC for solid mid table results for past xxx years!

Also, it's the club's responsibility to attract new members not TC's, they employ the spin when needed, places like TC are forums for all manner of views.

We only won three of the four we did have. A pity we had so many injuries that Port beat us by 9 goals. Port!!!!! PORT!!!!! Port Flower Adelaide BEAT US BY NINE FLOWER GOALS!!!!!!

In all the to-ing and fro-ing on this board lately can someone explain to me how Port Adelaide beat us by 9 goals?????

And if you mention injuries, I'll spew up.

Ratts was still learning how to avoid his teams having massive and prolonged mental slumps, but he's much better now. :?:

Bomber Thompson's Geelong got beaten by bottom sides by nine goals, and came out the next year to win the flag :?:

Like airline pilots doing their time in the flight simulator, that game (and block of games) was all about Ratts learning how to coach through adversity, which will stand him in good stead when he has his full coaching licence sometime in his 7th year :?:

Really? Port beat us by 9 goals because we didn't have Waite and Carazzo??

Gee Port must be good. Where are they? Oh that's right. Bottom 4 with no coach, no players, and no supporters.

At least the NFL starts in a few weeks. I can then watch the Cowboys implode instead of this bloody rabble again.

Dont forget it was a Primus led Port that smashed us that day... not just any ordinary kind of Port... but some clever , artful maneuvering was on display that day by a gun footy team.

LEst we forget!

Port also beat North Melbourne and got spanked by GWS

Sometimes a single game isn't indicative of how a team is overall.

Being reamed by Hawthorn Sydney Adelaide and North Melbourne are the more hurtful losses IMO.

In fairness, Synbad also needs to recognise people have different opinions. The fact they do doesnt mean they blindly follow everything the club does and are 100% behind Ratts and think things are going great.

Most people are probably split on the coaching situation.

Question for the masses...

Do you think that Ratten has a better chance of seeing out the final year of his contract in 2013 if:

a) We win our last 2 games, but miss out on finals, or
b) We make finals, but get spanked in the first week?

Finally some sense.

Now, a little while back at least one TCer posted that Malthouse was a done deal at Carlton for 2013. I remember
because it was stated with the word FACT in capitals. Was that you Synners? I can't remember and am not
motivated enough to search.

I'd be interested though if those who claim that this is FACT would like to put their hand up again?
(It's kinda a little TC credibility thing).

I have a strong feeling we won't get spanked again in 2012.

Biggest issue i see is that some people act as if we can turn on success just like a tap.

It doesn't work that way. Those days are gone for CFC.

It takes time, just as it does for every other club.

I trust the whisperers but not the board to stick to a decision. Especially a split one.
