i feel like if we did trade for him, that's the kind of deal it'd be. dees adding the sweetener, not us.

i'd like to kick the tyres on butters. ask port what they want.

Our injury list reaching diabolical levels in the last month may have cost us the chance to go deep into finals, but it's helped us find out more about our list. Can't imagine Binns, Lord and Moir would have got a run otherwise. Nice to have discovered 3 more AFL quality players on our list.

Binns deserved his chance much earlier.
It's disappointing that we rushed back Cottrell from injury vs GWS instead of rewarding the good form Binns was showing in the VFL.

Yep. Just seemed to unsettle the playing group as well.

for me the message is - do not tackle pinning both arms - you'll get a week regardless. Tackle pinning one arm, be careful, there could be a suspension.

Butters got 10th place in coaches association votes. Hes well worth considering, especially if can bundle him with houston

I've enjoyed watching good players Martin traded in (2020), Saad (2021), Cerra (2022), Acres (2023), Hollands (2024) but I feel short changed when I see opposition teams trade in multiple players to fill a need in one trade period.

This year, Hawks want to fill their 2 KPDs positions and have AA player Barrass (CHB) and Battle (3rd Tall) nominate Hawks as their destination team to join Frost (FB) and Sicily (KP). Defense and key posts solved in one trade period.

Jack Lukosius to play CHB?

GCS need to make salary space (again) if they are trading in Rioli and a couple others.

Luko has a back ended contract at the GCS, approx $850K pa for 2025 and 2026 (or $1.75M).

Pies have pulled out because it was reported GCS refuse to offer any salary relief for the player.

Williams came with Saad.
Hewett came with Cerra.
Drafted Hollands & Binns to follow Acres.

Same thing, no?

If we’re including draft hauls then Weitering, McKay and Curnow is a fair effort.

Apparently we’re half interested in Laverde from the Dons.
