It's a shame because he's been handy lately

hmmm. yeah he's been handy. for sure. but we haven't been winning and the team is ranked dead last in a few critical areas since he returned. team success over personal performance, maybe?

if 2 rucks/ 3 key forwards doesn't work .... who would you prefer tdk or pittonet?

i'd still run with tdk. our pressure and turnover game in the first 4 rounds - i feel like that could evolve (with much more playing time together) into a GF winning team.

I think we've buried the lead here.

Pitto has an additional finger.

Have it on good authority - but second hand I admit - that an internal message between coaches suggested literally that ballerinas are trained harder than the Carlton players. My own view is ballerinas train bloody hard, but I understand it was meant as a very pointed criticism of our training standards.

Same sender probably thinks full match simulation before Christmas is a great idea & in no way related to soft tissue stress or mid-season lethargy.

From what I understand (which is not that much admittedly) ballerinas do train harder than most footy players.

We already began the process when we traded in Elijah Holland's

You'd have to think a ballerina's hamstrings would be virtually indestructible given the stretches they do daily. I say we get all Swan Lake up in this mother flower.

This conservation reminds me of a very funny article I read in the paper some years ago, where they interviewed a male ballet dancer who said something like, "there's a stereotype that male ballet dancers must be gay, but in reality at least half of them are straight".

The best thing about this conversation is that it means we haven’t heard of any new midweek calamities from the training track, since 2 days ago at least!

We should have kept Ben Silvagni. Hard to do a hamstring when you don’t have any legs

The players have openly stated training intensity has increased significantly this year. One comment was along the lines of training being harder than the games so the players will find games less intense by comparison. I commented on this earlier this year. IMHO, it's lunacy. Training during season should be based around recovery and strategy.
Voss was very defensive when quizzed about it last week which leads me to assume he is one of the architects of the idea.

That's not to bag Voss or Jack Russell. It's OK to try different ideas but if it's not working, you have to swallow your pride and adapt. We're doing to many injuries at training for it to be coincidental.

Vinnie Catoggio and David Glascott could twirl with the best of them - weren't half bad footballers either.

What does Marchbank being 'managed' this week actually mean? Hasn't he only played 1-2 games in a row?

One game... But in a row....

Can only suspect he's pulled up sore or injured.... Or both of course
