I dont mind this week's team.

Can see the midfield mix now.

Should be a good game.

Georgiades is in great form.

Who goes to him? Dean or Derksen?

Derksen.

I think that rest Dean had in round 3 and 4 did him a world of good.
He ran out 2 games prior but was cramping in the zero round game, and tired in the last in the Tigers game.
Since then he's been building, but I'm sure he lacks the stamina to keep up with hard running Georgiades. He may surprise.

Derksen is 5 years older and has completed 3 full preseasons, so I'd expect Derksen to mind Georgie boy for most of the game. FYI Georgiades has completed 5 full preseasons and does a lot of hard running outside 50m arc to the wings and back. Hard worker, and good Greek boy.

Maybe they will share the duties on Georgiades.

I feel we are a bit short in defence and would have preferred to see L Young in. Derksen would be better used replacing Kemp or McGovern in the fwd line.

Thought Acres well deserved to replace Ollie in the wing, I hope having Cerra there doesn’t mean we have to suffer through the Hewett/Cripps onball show all evening.

As Bondi says, F Young was in good for a month ago, but hasn’t played much since then and when he has played hasn’t shown much. I would have preferred Moir who could be given stints onball too.

Ok with Byrne being given another chance.

Maybe we’re tanking.

Cripps has Hewett to wax the inside mid role. They really worked well together last week with Hewett doing a lot of blocking for Crippa, but I expect them to wax and Cripps go forward at times.

With 3 Forwards on the bench to rotate, Gov, Evans, and Young, I would like to see Byrnes and Evans run through the midfield for 5 mins here and there to mix things up, see Butters, Horne Francis, Drew up close and give Walshy and Smith a chop out, as will Ainsworth.

Cerra on a wing may get a rest on the bench with F.Young filling the space, who played a bit of wing late last year. I expect Cerra to do some midfield time too.

I hope to see Byrne, Ainsworth, Cowan get a run through the middle more. 2 did a little last week and Cowan a run with role. Good to see.

Except Cowan didn't get a run through the middle last week.
And his run with role was in Rd8 and only a little in Rd9.
Ainsworth has been having midfield minutes since Rd7.

Ainsworth had 17% CBAs last week and Williams had 0.
If Cerra plays wing Ainsworth may pick up a potential 26% more CBA's based on last week.
But at a guess, I'd say Hayward might play a little more on the wing having the extra smalls this week and Gov might even be earmarked to go down back in defence to help out with Georgiades.
They may try Byrne in the centre, but I think they'll leave him in the F50 if Ainsworth plays more midfield minutes and Hayward is used on the wing.
I'd like to see Florent play on the wing, but he's done so good off of HB the last couple of weeks I wouldn't even entertain a move now.
Another option is they could try Wilson on the wing or put Ison in the middle.
Either way it'll be interesting to see what they do.

No doubt we’ll miss Ollie through the wings over the next few.

Reduce the impact of Butters and Horne-Francis and we can win this .

Young should've come in for Georgiades... otherwise good team on paper

The real test after the emotions of last week will be tonight.

I would have preferred to see Lewis Young in to give us a bit of height in backline, and emergency ruck incase Pitto or Harry get hurt.

Pitto hasn't been right since he broke his hand and returned after only one week rest.

It is what it is. We do have Dean, the rock, back there.

9 players unavailable this week.
That's not a good omen.
Last week we had 6 unavailable.
First 5 named would be in our Best 23.
Next two would be borderline.

Weitering
Williams
Hollands
Hollands
O'Farrell
Lord
Motlop
L.Camporeale
Monohan

Pitto isn't 100%.

A lot of youth brings a lot of energy.
Lets hope they bring 4 quarters again.

We can win this tonight. 16 degrees. no rain.

7 players who have played less than 12 games

Could be a rough night

True but if one or more of them plays above expectations I’ll take that.

He is.
Damn it.
We will find out a bit about where we are at.
I have to believe we’ve tweaked a few things and a 4 quarter team
Kids like Cowan Carroll Hollands standing up.
We will miss Hollands.

Ison and Wilson need to back up.
