I'm like titimus, frequent reader, infrequent poster. I generally find by the time I read what everyone else has said, my thoughts have already been well and truly covered. I found and joined TBV in the early 2000s when I was living in Canada (just before the proverbial hit the fan) and despite the devastation at the time, it certainly made me feel connected from afar in our darkest hour. I was relieved when TC was born after TBV's demise and I've been lurking away ever since. Fingers crossed TC's small but passionate community keeps punching on for a bit yet

I love this site around the draft/trade period in particular.

I note the match day thread v st kilda in July 2021 was 13 pages and last nights thread was barely 6, and just 3 pages by 3/4 time. Seems to be a trend.

Yeah but all the discussion from the first half was in the pre-match thread. Caveat: 3/4 of the posts were by me.

fbrc great to see your name.

re not posting during and straight after the game. I'm half cut before the game even starts and know its not a good idea to post half cut.

On game day, I'm going to war for the Navy Blue. If its an arvo game, I calm my nerves from midday. For night games, I start calming the nerves from 3 onwards.

I make my calls and posts prior to the priming time. That's my excuse for not posting during and right after the game.

In my crazy busy and stressful professional life, I love that TC provides a space of simple solitude that enables me to shut out the noise of the real world for at least a few minutes each day. Always impressed by the knowledge, perspectives and passion of the true believers, so thank you.
