The Wheels fell off for a simple Reason: Remove Hewett from the team without any Valid explanation and put Kennedy as the Sub, and there goes our hard ball getters.

What on Earth is Voss thinking? Can he be that Stupid? Or did he fell to the Media thinking that Its all about Crippa and Walsh?

Without the Grunt work of Hewett and Kennedy in the middle, We get exposed so easily!

Also, it is Clear that some of our Boys are carrying Niggles and Injuries and some were never ready to return to the team!

This is just silly stuff. 13 wins and you are in, and that would just mean beating Norf and West Coast. I’m still backing us to finish 2nd

Sure can. If GWS beat Richmond tomorrow we will only be a game from 8th.

What a sh#t show ...... Sorry for Crippa ... deserved better
I blame the match committee for our losses due to weird arse selections over the past 2 weeks.
Cottrell - 2 weeks of putrid
Cerra - 2 weeks of ordinary (very ordinary)
No Hewett
etc etc
Only guys who can sleep well tonight ..... Crippa, Weiters, Saad
Charlie - 3.7 ..... WTF
Really p#ssed off tonight

This all started by bringing in a player who haden’t played for 2 months while all along the team has been motoring.
To add, this bloke isn’t in our best 22. Voss flowered up big time by not demanding players earn their spot back.

Well flower me and my #Cripps200doitforCrippa statement! An absolutely horrific, insipid, gutless and extremely heartbreaking effort! If this team cannot get their shit together and get up at the very least for our Captain, who is arguably our best ever, then we'll I'm speechless! If it wasn't already obvious, I'm extremely disappointed.

Midfield is too one paced. Need to rectify through recruiting. Won’t be fixed this year.

For this year, a key is for Cerra to rapidly improve. Pretty obvious that we are too reliant on Cripps and Walsh. Stop one and we get found out.

The other key is pressure. Without it, we get exposed on the outside.

woke up this morning, still stunned.

a brief timeline of our fall.

won 5 in a row, and we looked the best team in the comp. cincotta on a hard tag, williams moved forward, tdk playing like an AA. Hewett, Cripps, Walsh motoring in the midfield.

rther than have other teams have to figure us out ... voss and Co decide to change a winning formula. defying all logic, and belief.

the gws comes up, and cincotta is deemed not to have a midfield tagging role. the first of the rot sets in. hewett gets replaced by cerra and proceeds to play like a guy who's missed 5 weeks of footy, cottrell comes in at the expense of the only thing that even resembles a small forward on our list, and goes completely invisible - an absollute passenger. tdk rolls his ankle, still puts up okay numbers, and boom. coaches jump all aboard this ridiculous nonsense of playing tall and slow, in a modern game where fierce, swarming pressure and turnover and fast rebounding are the winning template.

we go from the #1 ranked team on offense and the #2 ranked defensive team back to the dire shit we served up last night.

two rucks does not work. the only way it works is if we play with one key forward. you must have at least 4 small/mid forwards who are rabid and apply pressure when the ball goes to ground. they, as an absolute necessity, must be able to cover the ground quickly and lock off defensive outlets and lock the ball into our F50. when you don't have that in the modern game, you will give up 100 points. as we've done the last 2 weeks.

the 5 weeks before we gave up no more than 75 pts. you cannot be a defensive team worthy of finals, let alone prelims and GF's with a tall set up.

it's frustrating that here we are on a freaking forum board, and we can see the issues out on the ground & the mistakes made at the selection table - but the club and the blokes running this ship, clearly cannot.

voss, just like he was as a player, is arrogant and stubborn. as a player, that's not bad attributes to have. it's the kind of edge that puts you over the top. but as a coach ... it'll absolutely kill your career, as it did the 1st time when he was coach of the lions ...

Dogs scored 50 to 30 from stoppage and 26 to 6 from centre bounce.

Carlton are 77 for and 120 against for score from stoppage the last two weeks.

the middle can be attributed to a horribly out of form cerra in, hewett out. plus walsh has fallen away badly. he's been a shell of of who he was for the first 10 games he played this season.

is walsh hurt?

Ugle-Hagan probably the key player yesterday
Weitering did a mighty job but he is banged up and needs a rest
Simply couldn’t go with him in crucial stages

It shows the need for back up
Kemp is the closet we have
Marchbank’s selection what out of desperation
His form in the twos on little prep has been crap

Felt sorry for Weitering yesterday

Will be interesting to see Copper Lord in the same team as Hewett today

I don't have an issue with Voss experimenting.
But do it when you are assured of firstly making the 8 and making top 4.

Even Sydney (two rucks) Blue will admit he has got his selections horribly wrong

Better to have a form slump a couple of months out from finals than in Sept.......

I hope that's all it is anyway.

Exactly.
I called it last night. We won't make the 8.
We have to win at least 3 of the last 6.
North, who we should beat, are playing well.
Port are in good form.
Collingwood on Pendelbury's 400th game.
Hawthorn
WCE we should win.
Saints who we seem to struggle against for some reason.
No certainty we win 3 games unless we turn around our last 2 weeks form.
