The Hawks are actually playing good football but if they can run Port to within 1pt at the same ground (and really should have won) then there is no reason we can’t win this. The ground is certainly not a rational reason!

Saints also got within 10 points. Freo within 3 points. Melbourne and Adelaide beat them there. They’re very gettable

Looking forward to 632 HTB free kicks this weekend as these petty insecure little bitches snap back against all the criticism.

I predict Cripps will be penalised repeatedly for standing up in tackles and not immediately disposing the ball.

100%, but it will be both ways bad. Normally it's Friday night when they think they are the main show and really ramp up the rule of the week shit.

Standing up in a tackle had to be scrutinized , players are likely to incur more sever injuries and the action looks clumsy and awkward. Once the tackle is applied unless the player being tackled can slip and shrug the tackle off quickly it should be holding the ball immediately , leaving it open to an individual umpire’s assessment of reasonable time, is ridiculous. Just causes more consternation amongst players and supporters.

Safe to say Connor Rozee won’t be playing tomorrow night against Carlton, the skipper a no show at Port’s captain’s run.

Soldo and Sweet are both out here on Adelaide Oval, but more likely than not Sweet will be an emergency. @9NewsAdel

I’d think this will help us more than our opponents generally?
FWIW, I thought Crippa should have been penalised when he dropped the ball in a Touk tackle; but Charlie should not have been penalised - he was always in control of both himself and the ball until he disposed of it correctly and with purpose.
But I hate when a player is caught with one arm, holds the ball to his own chest with the free arm and the umpire calls ‘ball up’!

Someone could have their arm ripped right off.

I’m predicting no change, with Binns, Marchbank and Durdin the travelling emergencies.

$1.01 we get pinged for ridiculous overcorrection HTBs while Charlie and Harry continue to get mauled in every marking contest and get no frees.

I'll take the glass half full aproach and take the odds that it makes Cripps and Walsh better footballers because they now use options available to them instead of trying to do it all themselves. As for our forwards, I reckon we get a decent go from the men in yellow.

Charlie gets quite a few frees just because his opponent panics as the ball is coming in and does something stupid.

Yeah I’ve got a feeling Motlop will be in.

Carroll has had a lot of games as sub. Not great for his development. Would like to see him get a solid block of games in the 2s

Personally believe Cripps is much better at this mostly these days but Walsh can definitely improve.

Don’t agree re our forwards, especially in the last 5 or so weeks. Imho should receive plenty more if the umps were consistent both ends.

Looks like the worst of it is during the morning. Shouldn't be too bad.
