We are the most fragile team in the AFL. I think it comes after being at rock bottom for 20 years. Every team knows they have a chance against us.
Pathetic!

Mmmmmmm probably. I honestly don't know what I want out of football anymore. Maybe for 11 years I just ODed and I have reached saturation point. I would like more enjoyment but I am in no-mans land alot with it all these days. The Blues out of the middle bought some enjoyment in spurts and the first half was great, but they were witches hats to be honest.

The 3rd Quarter was pretty horrendous so as I said to Caz........If we win great, move on, if we lost I simply didn't want to see the supporters so despondent after such a great start to the year. She said she was bored with the game so she was happy to leave as well.

Weak! I can cop that on the chin.

This is true. But, getting rid of mental weakness from a team who's been on the bottom for years is going to take time.

Sorry to hear that.

But I getcha.

Let's hope the Blueboys can give you a reason to turn that around.

Bullshit ! no faaarking way . A bloke that has dedicated his life for the betterment of The Carlton FC . All for a corned beef and pickle sandwich and a half cold cup of tea . After your lifetime of dedication you are completely free to come and go as you see fit Cazz . You have learnt that right unlike the peanut gallery .

Our zoning is so bad.
For those who solely blamed Teague for the run ons and unanswered goals now you know it’s also the personal he had to work with
Players who don’t work hard enough and not protect space.

We were absolutely pansed by the bottom team without their recognized ruckman
If it wasn’t for Weitering who knows where to position himself we would be 2 and 3.
Simple as that . He saved us against the Hawks and the Power
We haven’t played anyone good yet
Early signs after 5 rounds is that
Dockers
Cats
Dees
Lions
Saints
Are the best performed sides
If our midfield starts to lose the stoppages we are rooted because our pressure around the ground
is not top 4 standard
Our midfield is very one paced
When we play well we can be brilliant but it’s so hard to play like that for 4 quarters.
As long as we play Newnes and Setterfield we will be average
Dow and Stocker need an extended run on the wings
Martin escapes the chop but went missing when the heat was on

Not much has changed
As for our supporters cheering the team off yeah I get it
We are 4 and 1.
When’s the last time that happened.
But clearly they have no idea if they think we are much better in 2022.

Hopefully we get to see
Carroll
Honey
Stocker
Motlop
In the seniors at some point.
Dow definitely deserves a run next week particularly with his contract up in 17 weeks.
Give him a decent crack at it.

That’s all great but how did Freos best midfielder go today ?

100%. Especially about 20min into the 2nd. Port seemed to have most of the play and almost doing as they pleased.
We managed to somehow get a goal or maybe 2 in that period. That ultimately saved us.
Our 2nd half was inexcusable. Whilst I expected Port to come at us, I thought at absolute worse we'd turn a 50 odd point lead to only a 4 or 5 goal win.
At the end of the day 4 points is points. Take it learn from it and move onto a tough challenge next week.

Winning's not everything...it's the only thing.

Except for percentage.

That’s all great but how did Freos best midfielder go today ?

And why didn't we draft Rachelle? We could really use him but typical Carlton recruiters just said no

I’m very happy. 4 wins from 5 games and some of our football is very good. We are still learning and will get better and better. Cripps & McGovern will make us better as will McDonald. Can’t wait to see Motlop Carroll Kemp earn their chance. We have a fair way to go but I like what we are doing and the direction we are heading. We are a lot better than we were a year ago. Positive is against the flow in games v Hawks & Port we still fought hard and won. Sign of a good happy club.

Voss said we're a work in progress.
Number one - the Voss Vehicle still has some glaring characteristics of the Teague Train.
To be realistic as a supporter, it was always going to be this way.
The most important thing at this time of year is to bank 4 points.
If we had of lost today, it would have gone down as one of our worst losses in our club's history!

9 unanswered goals by freo against *. Fun to watch this week but a little concerning for next week. Need to be 10 goals up at 1/2 time next week
