Woke up with the boys at 5am on the beautiful island in Mykonos for the game.
We placed our bets with our Sydney mates; plenty of bets.
We were cocky, and for good reason with Teague at the helm.

Was thinking of all of you throughout the game.
Despite the confidence I was stressed out throughout.
Swim at half time didn't relieve the stress. This was our game to win.

Couldn't believe last weeks game.
We were on land in Crete when we hit the front. Then the boar took off.
We're at sea and the boys lost coverage and the lead.
I knew we could win against anyone on our day...if we play 4 quarters.

Great win. I love youse all.

I was lucky enough to go to the game today, first interstate game I've been to and I'm glad we got up!

I can echo the reports of the high winds, it really didn't help the skill factor today.

Great effort and application from the word go today. Obviously our poor starts had been addressed during the week. There were also moments when our confidence threatened to break through and allow us to open up a serious lead. Unfortunately, we're not at the stage where we can convert from these moments and take the ascendancy. But there are signs.

Very happy for Nick Newman, he looked like he had a serious point to prove to the Swans today. He certainly delivered on that.

Well done blue boys

Who honestly would ve expected Teaguey to make such a difference.
Not me. But slowly he's turned me from a doubter to a believer.
Surely you can no longer keep putting this down to a 'honeymoon period' 5 weeks into the gig.

You could feel we were 'on' right from the first bounce.
Contest after contest. Won first 7 clearances against the best in the contested game.

Seasoned bodies in the guts and winning their contest.
Ball gets out the bubble and the kids didn't take a backward step.

Boys did it for 4 quarters.
I thought our boys were tougher and looked fitter.
The Swans outside speed on a couple occasions looked ominous, but our kids gave them few opportunities.

Kreuzer Cripps Curnow Murphy led the charge.
Walsh is special...old soul?
Kids floated in and out when needed but did not shirk a contest.

I love having Levi circa 2019 in the team. He crashes packs and hurts.
He and McKay are contested marking beasts.
Harry has to fix up his set shots at goal routine.
He doesn't only look laconic, he is.

I look into the future and see a lot of pain inflicted on the opposition when:

Fisher OBrien Dow Walsh SPS McKay put on some more muscle and stamina.
They will be stronger for longer: great character.

Gibbons does a lot of hard work.
His first half earned standing ovations from my clan in Mykonos.

As much as Newman frustrates me with his turnovers he was a star today.

All this without a game plan practised throughout the preseason.
All this without Charlie Curnow, McGovern and Deluca in the forwardline.
All this without Docherty Marchbank Williamson and Weitering in our backline.
All this without the speed of Deluca and Cuningham.

...and one down on the bench with a broken jaw.

...and without one versatile beauty in Liam Stocker.

Destination club!!!!!!!!!!!

Ditto.

I'm a believer.

He's a cool customer and I loved the vision of him writing down a note with poise when I was getting hysterical.

Bring on the next game!!!!

I still think the club should have an Award named after Brendan Bolton.
Most improved....Best team player ...Best clubman...something that reflects his input in this new era.

how good does a win feel...
especially at a place where we never tend to win..... pretty sure that's only the second time we've won there since 1993

Going just a touch overboard BB.

Bolts surely laid the foundation but didn't have the wherewithal to carry it through.

And you can add TDK into that mix

Surely you're not suggesting that our list is a teeny weeny bit better than what we thought it was?

Welcome back Brother Win.
Stick around.
You are most welcome.
For we were hungry and you fed us
We thirsted and you gave us to drink.
Surely thy winningness knoweth no end.
Praise Be.
Sunday sermon over and out.

Absolutely not, in the future he'll be just a smudge on our history book. While we're at it we should name a best backman award to Simon Verbeek

Was it just me, or did anyone else think that the quality of the broadcast yesterday was very average. Maybe it was the sun or the jumble of colours on the ground and in the stands, but it was bloody hard to see the ball and exactly who had their hands on it at times

Commented on it early in the match day thread. Horrible camera work and camera selection. It was very noticeable.

Add it to Paul Roos commentary, where he just drones on about rubbish and it was a poor broadcast. Capped off with the analysis that we have a lot of high draft picks.
