I haven’t seen a minute of today’s game.

I had a choice of walking down to Docklands and watching it live, staying home and watching it or going for a walk with my 17yo daughter in the Brisbane Ranges National Park.

We had a great time.

I'm not happy about the result but I am more perplexed how some think this was a winnable game. Yes, they were below us on the ladder, but they have flogged us the last 4 odd years. Plus they have a team full of tall big bodied players and we brought a team of kids, lack of experienced leaders and with 2 unconditioned players to a physical game. It never was going to be a win, but I hoped it wouldn't be the flogging it was.

The pick swap was one of our few positives today. Didn’t look out of place in a defence under siege.

Our coaches need to learn to adjust quickly during games. All year we have been too slow to make changes and it’s hurt us. Although this does sit firmly with Bolton, I blame all the coaches, our line coaches.

Having an extra player across half back while North have the extra at every contest and we do nothing about it while they are destroying us in clearances, makes me flowering mad.

Well if we can’t show we can win more than the odd game, he will be in trouble.

I didn’t have high expectations for today, with our inexperienced side we were always cannon fodder for a north side with bigger bodies

or they thought the game would be a walk in the park because of the way they played against the doggies and the hawks?

A win was always going to be difficult but bottom line is that NM are a pretty ordinary side

Weitering summed it up. That really bothers me. The coaching staff need to take responsibility for today (and I'm not talking tactics, structure etc). I'm talking about ensuring that those headf@#$s are ready to go through (the non-Robert) walls for their teammates and for the f%^^&& jumper

i haven't seen a carlton home crowd like that at docklands for a long time. what a shame most of our players cared less.

Out worked.

Could see all day that North had an extra number at very switch of both teams. That's why they won.

Bad selections cost us a little and that's the selection panels fault but most of it was lack of hard running, also the fact that we get put on the back foot too quickly and play reactive.
example of this was Marchbank in the first quarter, he takes a mark on defensive 50 and has Williamson running past to open the game up and go.....but no let's go back and kick over the mark and let North setup.

Putrid today.
