Bookies Started the day with north slight favourites, now for the first time this year our noses in front (at least according to the bookies)

We should be favourites - Higgins past his prime, Jones should match up well on Brown whilst Ziebell and Cunnington can be contained. I know we say this every week but this is a "must win" game.

Cunnington's been in very good form IMO

Cunnington is a star. Probably the best distributor by hands in the AFL. With him and Goldstein in the middle, we'll have our work cut out for us.

Especially if Kreuz doesn’t play.

Two teams with plenty to prove should make for an awesome contest. Historically North have handed us some serious beltings in recent years, so this will be a good test of how much we've improved. The last time we played North Melbourne 18.8 (116) to Carlton 4.6 (30) I'm pretty certain we'll kick more than 4 goals this time around.

I was there at Bellerive. We were gone before the first bounce when Murphy was out injuring himself during the warm up

Brown kicked 5.1 and Higgins had 35 disposals. Hartung, Cunnington & Anderson also tore us apart

All struggling clubs set themselves for games against us.

In case anyone is wondering it’s apparently a Graham Smorgon thing.

Brown will get 5 free kicks for being "blocked", while Harry gives away 5 free kicks for "push in the back".

This is the last of a block of five games that I think we were a real chance in , starting with Sydney . 5 wins -unrealistic , 4 wins -very very happy , 3 wins - happy , 2 wins - ok , 1 win - disappointed , thankfully we have won at least one because nil wins would have been a disaster for the club . We really must win this week because the next block of five is not looking real good . colonwood, gws, druggies, saints, Brisbane , once again we must win this week !!!!

I reckon we'll win at least 2-3 of our next 6

I’d trade that and my second born (sorry Agro Jr  ), if we could just beat the Drug Cheats.

As if we needed to open the door further for small forwards to kill us.

After last week's loss to the Hawks, I thought I would be positive Monday, Tuesday afternoon I'm still licking my wounds.

So onto this thread to get motivated to support the boys on Sunday against the Kangaroos.

Has the club updated our Injury report?

Is it right that Simpson, Newman and Kreuzer will miss this week?

Not official but from a good source both Simpson and Newman will miss 3 weeks and Kreuzer will likely miss too.
Just can't take a trick, especially our back line.

Reasonably happy if the ins are Stocker and Williamson, though. LOB covering Stocker when he’s out of puff.

Phillips in, Curnow to return via the bullants. Or replace Silvagni, I guess.

Or, you know, they could bring in Garlett and Polson.

The "good sources" possibly got it from the clubs Facebook page. I listened to the Dale Thomas interview on the website earlier this arvo and the injury report followed it.

So the experts say three out.

Setterfield is a must to return.

About time Kennedy given a go.

And Phillips for Kreuzer.

C. Curnow returns via the VFL to make a point. If not Levi is dropped.

Not exactly like for like but E Curnow plays back as sweeper with Daisy. Better position for him as a defensive player than a small forward anyway.
