What did the footage show for those who didn't see it?

Both players meekly losing contact with their opponents. You have to see it to appreciate it.

It was terrible from both Rowe and Kerridge - clear zero care factor.

Not just that. Once contact had been lost there was no urgency. They said the Rowe footage looked liked they'd slowed it down he was going so slow. And Kerridge jogged the best part of 100m whilst his opponent sprinted down the ground to present and be involved in play.

Compare that to Rioli's last quarter effort on Sunday.

For those of you who haven't done so try and watch Rioli's last minute effort (I mentioned it back in the Bolton thread). Inspiring stuff. Mind you it was his first game back this year.

Kerridge ..... what a f@@king joke. Your career is on 2 minutes of tape (watch it back) and then you go and pull off that post game interview. It's over.

Maybe they’ve been given the tap on the shoulder to tell them it’s their last year?

It would explain a bit why our senior players were so listless in the first half.

Mid-year review didn’t go so good so they’ve stopped giving a @#$%&!?

The footage of Rowe and Kerridge last night on OTC was damning. Cannot possibly be selected to play this week.

Totally aree.

If they are selected, the club condones such efforts.

BIG FAIL.
Teach 'em a lesson.
Not acceptable. The footy public saw it with their own eyes.
Nowhere to hide.

Appalling.
Looked cooked imo.
Both of them.
@#$%&! off.

Saw that. Looked terrible but in Rowe's defence. He was cooked. He had run up and back a couple of times and was trying to get off. After the goal he ran to the bench only to be sent back. We were so disorganised it was a joke. It was like we didn't expect Freo to setup the way they did.
Just another disaster on a disastrous day.

If it’s only a fitness issue then that’s still fairly inexcusable. It was the first quarter.

Surely a few runs up and back shouldn’t waste a professional footballer to that extent that quickly.

This game will be a real doozy, imagne the Pies approching the game with their usual intent.
I hope we donn't get hammered and that the boys go in hard at it do us proud.
Pies and Port will be obstructions and more pain. Look forward to the Lions at the Gabba a little easier.

Hope we bring in the more kids for this game.

I think we really need to.

It might be the only way that we can take a bit of heat of ourselves.

Out : Kerridge, Rowe, Wright, Lamb Cas.

In : Pickett, Kennedy, Polson, Garlett & TDK.

Damning vision... But they weren't on their own...
The worry is the lack of effort was contagious...
(yes even my absolute fave the Fish was guilty at one stage, add Lang.. Even Simmo, Ed at different stages....)
Mind you there may also be a little of 'I don't know where I'm meant to run and who I'm meant to pick up' about it... (mind, that doesn't explain broken tackles and not chasing )

Trying to look on the bright side, if we bring back our defensive game plan, won't that be a bit of a problem for Collingwood? i.e. if you compare their games against Geelong and Melbourne, it's clear which strategy works best.

In addition to the usual Carlton habit of trying hard against good sides after @#$%&! up/not giving a toss against crap sides, it bodes well for a good contest undone by a wasteful third quarter, and a brave 4-goal loss.

Closer to 6 goals and everyone will say what a great effort
