Easy to go with a NO CHANGE call.
But Jack Silvagni and Fisher are ready to resume their spot.
Then there's
Cuningham Jones and Boekhurst knocking.
Macreadie is a suitor but slipped out view.
GWS boys Jaksch and Philips are coming back.
Not too far away is Sheehan and Byrne.
We have pressure on spots.
Backline is a well oiled machine even without Weitering, so Macreadie,Jaksch and Jones are out of contention IMO
OUT
Smedts was least effective imo 2 kicks 1 tackle
Kerridge next, less effective with 6 kicks, but with 9 tackles and his first half was fantastic.
White only 1 tackle and 7 kicks. He's excess height for Saints IMO
Graham was last in but did well. IMO he is too slow for Etihad against Saints, but he only just got in, and played well.
I thought Graham was more effective than Thomas.
IN
Silvagni, lead up forward.
Fisher, Cuningham midfield speed.
Nice having depth.
Add the likes of pickett and LeBois back in the mix.
I agree with almost everything you've said. The only fear I have is the idea of dropping White despite your statement that the backline is a "well oiled machine". I wouldn't disrupt it. But I guess it wouldn't be 'TalkingCarlton' if people weren't calling weekly for poor Simon to be dropped. Haha.
GO BLUES!!!!
I can't work out where White is playing.
I've named other players who I think were less effective than White, and, I didn't nominate White to be dropped.
With all those players knocking on the door, and there's all types, White would have to be in the gun, and probably why he's playing better this year.
You'd have to be very bias if you can't see the most vulnerable players from our starting 22 last week, and not think White is one of 5 most vulnerable.
If Rowe, Marchbank, Silvagni and Plowman are our talls, then that's plenty
Docherty and Williamson our small and medium defenders.
Where's White playing?
Nothing to do with White, but I question the number of talls we have, and I consider all of them, including White, with the exception of Rowe, as being mobile.
White is having a good year, but he needs to keep it up or he'll lose his spot ...same with anyone.
Against that backdrop Carlton have a good chance against the Saints.
