For those looking at the foxfooty option for watching the footy this year 'foxtel from telstra' are offering 'entertainment + sports package' for $35/month.
No I don't work for them

I watched the game on foxtel and enjoyed it. One thing that is a bit sad is seeing so many of those players now at other clubs. There are only a handful still at the club, Murphy, Gibbs, Kreuzer, Curnow and Simpson. Such a massive change is only 3 seasons.

The Garlett run into an open goal at the end is still an awesome memory

Agree. We've been so starved of success and its perhaps a bit bittersweet now but I still get goosebumps when I watch it.

Even worse was the paltry return we got for some of them.

That was such an amazing game. The Richmond crowd was deafeningly loud in the first half, it was so good to silence them in the 2nd. Jeffy running in from 50m was 5 of the most enjoyable seconds of my life.

Gee we were kicking well for goal. 18.8. Couldn't buy that in recent years.

So ... where is Synbad? ... I miss his insights and insults ...

And for that matter ... where is Jimmae? Among other things ... I want the new team board. Sorry, I have been out of the loop for a while.

I am really looking forward to this match ... excited about the new season.

Only 60 days to go!

Too true. 2 bounces over 45 metres!
Jeff had a bad habit of doing that fortunately he wasn't picked up on it.

Jimmae has gone on to bigger and better things (he thinks) at BF.

Hoping, SPS, Fisher, McKay and Marchbank all line up along side,
Weitering, SOJ and Charlie round one...
Unfortunately I think Thomas will play......

My prediction against the tigers,
Simpson Weitering Plowman
Docherty Rowe Thomas
Gibbs Cripps Kerridge
Charlie McKay SPS
SOJ Casboult Wright
Kreuzer Murphy Edward
From; Cuningham Fisher Marchbank Boekhorst.

Byrne is a big loss..
Palmer comes in after suspension..
Will Sheehan come in??
Pickett will add more class, hope he can make it...
Maybe Sumner or Armfield replaces Boekhorst??
Polson, Williamson and Macreadie, hearing great things about these boys..
Just my thoughts

Be interesting to see who gets 1st go out of Plowman and Marchbank for our 3rd tall defender. From the little I've seen, Marchbank looks a little more talented.

It was enjoyable but thanks to the Tiger duds in front of me telling each other the game time left, I knew the game was safe.

For me it was the Judd goal... still have a lump on the top of the scon due to hitting the Ponsford stand roof...

I have to agree. I spent the first three quarters surrounded by Tigger tragics slagging Judd off so it was beautiful karma him slotting the goal that put us 10 (?) points up.

From the AFL website

Charges Laid:
Rhys Palmer, GWS Giants, has been charged with engaging in rough conduct against Fletcher Roberts, Western Bulldogs, during the first quarter of the First Preliminary Final between the GWS Giants and the Western Bulldogs, played at Spotless Stadium on Saturday September 24, 2016.

In summary, he can accept a $1000 sanction with an early plea. (which he did according to twitter)
