I was there when Malcolm Blight kicked the torpedo from 70 metres out to defeat our Blues in '75 after the siren.

I was there at Round 17, 1998 at PP when Lance (not so big at that stage) kicked 8 against the Doggies. I remember we were pretty crap at that stage and the ground was full of Doggies supporters expecting a big win over the blues, I remember having a great laugh with a Blues supporter who happened to be standing near me stirring up all the long face doggies supporters as we creamed them.

I've rarely had a such a great laugh at the footy!

... Lachlan Henderson played his last game for the Carlton Football Club.

The three that stand out for me:

1. The 30.30.210 game. I still remember lots of little moments from it.
2. The 1970 GF. I was there with a bunch of Collingwood supporters. Bliss!
3. The Windy Hill game (1975 or 76) where we kicked 14 goals 1 behind in the 2nd quarter and 8 players were reported for blueing, including David McKay who also kicked 8 goals that day. Funniest part was when that point was kicked after a run of around 10 or 11 goals straight, the whole Carlton crowd booed.

I have serious concerns they might get that one back in the last Round.

:yikes: :yikes: :yikes: :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:

It was 1976

And if that kick was 70 metres I'll go he, barely 60 metres.

But Mike Williamson / Lou Richards exaggeration of "he must be 80 yards out" has added great distance to that kick over the years.

60 meters out and went through goal post height. I was there behind the goals.

Au contraire - he was past the centre square and would have been approaching the 50 metre arc (if there was one in 1976) - and don't forget that Princes Park was very short before the redevelopment of the Legends Stand (when it was extended 10 metres in length) - the 50 metre arc was actually about 45 metres.

Check out the clip at the 1.10 mark.
