Nah he played his role. Our midfield without Judd, Murphy and Gibbs did well tonight. Those knocking Graham doing his role are nuffties.

If Graham is in our next top eight team, call me a Nuffie

Hardly any of that side will be.... What is your point?

Well apart from the fact that you are clearly obtuse, my point is that our recruiting staff didn't have a clue at Round 3 of the draft that year.

How many do?

17.[/quote]

Yep full on nufftie

Look at round 3 picks here... 17 other champions there..... Lol

Everitt showed why he belongs up forward.

Had a great game, and for whatever reason seemed to be our only player comfortable marking the ball away from his body.

17.

Pick 44 - Sam Rowe

Pick 48 - Jordan Murdoch

Three other clubs didn't rate Murdoch as next on the board, so let's nudge that number down to 14.

Sad days when we get praise for a 60 point loss... We live on others people pity

Even when you support my argument you really really shit me.

We played a top 4 team.

Sydney beat the reigning premiers last weekend.
Sydney have a couple million $ players.

We have a $680k player from free agency, albeit lame.
We had our whole first midfield out injured: Kreuzer Jadd Murphy Gibbs.

The Swans were slick, strong and skilled. And quick and tall.
We gave our all. Much better effort.
Carlton stopped playing the kick to a man behind as much as they had bee.: thank god

improved endeavour

Tackle count well up

Missing good players and playing many under done players

I actually feel like watching the team again ... hated watching us play under Malthouse

We just have a rubbish forward line
Betts and Waite and we kick 5 more goals and maybe the pressure means a couple less for teh Swans
Still lose but much better scoreline
Happy with the effort - skill is a problem

Not happy with the loss but happy with the endeavour.

I wanted tackles and 1%ers and I think we got that.

Graham needs timem on the ground to adapt to the pace. He's never had that.

Buckley has earned a starting spot.Army gives it everything.'Bell had another bullish game. Couple of dropped marks didn't look good, though.

I think the umpires gave them more latitude witht he footy than they gave us...

Bring in more runners. Yarran out injured. Bring in BB.

FFS play Walker up the ground. Maybe the wing or HFF and tell him to run every time he gets it. Same with all the quicks. If we run the balll from HB as often as we can, the forwards will have an easier time of it.

Don't know about Jones. There has to be a better option. White? He played forward a few times last year and took marks and kicked goals. he is too small to look after a key forward. Not his fault but he does give grunt and effort.

Thomas is a shadow of his former self. If it is lack of fitness and match practice, he has to play more. If he is just stuffed we have made a huge mistake. I hope not. He shows flashes.

Hendo hasn't had a decent game for a year.

Casboult's set kicking has improved. Now he needs to work out how to have more of them.

This season is now about finding out who wants to play footy for the Blues next year and forward. I don't care if it's Armfield and Ellard. If they give us 100% every week, they are worth more to the club than someone who just runs around the park. As Kieran Jack said after the game, as long as people can play their role, they have done OK.

What we need now is a light at the end of the tunnel.

What we need is the tunnel - went to the game and have never been so flattened at a game.
Woeful skills, slow as a wet week and no run or flair (thanks mick). But does anyone think we are ever a chance to have forwards in the forward line - and not all back......and can anyone explain why we stack the back line leaving their backs free in our firward line. They seemed to have at least one loose man in our forward line..........beyond me. Too crestfallen almost to care...

Well Nufftie, pick and choose your stats, but how many decent 3rd rounders, or even 2nd rounders have our illustrious recruiters chosen.

If Liam Hones ever plays for this team again I'll fair dinkum spew. Rowey gave his all and one a lot of one on one contests.

Tutt is really fast but really crap too. Menzel can't be right. We know he is a much better footballer than he showed tonite. Just have to stick with him.

It's gonna be a loooooooong way back from here, but they had a real crack tonite, except for Hendo and Yarran who barely got out of first gear and were disgraceful.

Lame Jones is his name... But we shouldn't blame Lame, he's just the result of our abysmal recruiting.

Probably no worse than many others. It is our first and second rounders that I have issues with. We have done well with rookies though

Really, your going to go with the argument that our recruiting department stacks up against the recruiting departments of the other 17 clubs in the AFL.

No but I bet our round 3 plus picks are not statistically better or worse than most others. It is a lottery that late

I know there is lots of focus on tall forwards and running defenders, but the difference for me was the composure of mids breaking from the contest.

We tried hard but bomb it around corners to a contest, they break with one handball hard running and spot a target.

I thought we had them structurally, we just couldn't match the skills and running from the contest .
